Hmm....some that are moiling over a Trinity install may want to hold on, just a bit more....
Those wanting a Trinity are likely on a budget. And there's still the VMP Gen 2 and 2R, so I most Trinity guys won't be cross shopping the 2650 as it'll be at least $1000 more.
I doubt we will get much before SEMA but that's less than 3 mos out.
Any chance on giving a weekly hint for next 9 weeks like Demon debut? :)

Yep... its definitely budget related with my Trinity needs. Still will make a ton of power with one. The 2650 is just Ford Racing/Roush/VMP's way of saying "You may dominate all other non Ford platforms for years to come".

Agreed and it just makes sense because as you correctly said, it'll make as much power as you can use on the street through the 2.3, and save you minimum $1000, more like $1500+

Any predictions on hp gains the 2650 will have over the gen 2/gen 2R and 2.9 Whipple? If it comes in at 2.9 Whipple pricing I will really have a hard decision on my hands.

A Gen2R is $3,300, so I'd imagine it would have to come in at least $1K over that, which would price it above the 2.9. I'm definitely interested to finally see some numbers on this thing. SEMA isn't too far off now.

Remember it's OEM based, so it may be very close to a Gen2R which may be fazed out. If it's that much, over 4K, as much as I like my TVS I'll likely get a bigger twin screw.
We shall see.

I guess I could see the Gen2 being phased out if the Gen3 will fit under the stock hood with no other mods, and has a pretty large variety of pulley options. They're still going to have to have an option available for the crowd that just wants to bolt a bigger blower onto the stock motor and not take it any farther. If that's the case, the price will definitely be right. You can sign me up for one right now.

I'd rather have a 2650 at 10psi than a 2300 at 15psi so like you said, as long as it fits the 2650 could replace all.

Im guessing the 2650 will the easy way to get to 800 whp. i.e... no header swap, no cams, no lower pulley. Only boost, throttle body upgrade, and good gas required.

I also agree that the price point wont be much higher than the current $3300 Gen2r.

If this blower has the manners of the 2.3 but the top end power (or close) of the larger twin screws--this is going to be a game changer and a VERY exciting time for our platform.

I might be mistaken but I believe the 2650 is a extended 2300 rotor pack with a increased rotor twist which means it should be the same height and fit under the stock brace. It should also eliminate the ugly snout (my opinion) of the 2300 by pushing the front gear set towards the pulley similar look to the Whipple's. If it's priced more than $400 over the 2.9 Whipple it's sure to be a tough sell unless it out performs at the same boost level.

Anyone go to Mustang Week at Myrtle? Apparently VMP had a mold of the Gen 3 case on display. Go to about 3:40.

Not your standard throttle body mount either. Hmmm....

Looks a lot larger than the Gen II-R, but some of that could be optical, since the latter was in the background.
