Earlier this year I had a motor put together and tuned. It made 775 to the wheels. I'm use to the power and the car doesn't feel fast to me and there's no rush or thrill when driving it. Anyone else feel this way and what did you do to get past this feeling?

Is this car a daily driver? What kind of tires does the car have? My car makes 720 and it gets mundane driving sane, it's just like any other car. I have 315 mickeys out back that just about dead hook 1st gear and when I slam the throttle. When I row the gears quick it gets to triple digits fast and reminds me how much power it really has. Also my cars not driven daily, he in SoCal I'm pretty much opposite of the north east guys. I pack the car away for summer and mod it and wait for winter to drive the car.

My car puts down 695 to the rear wheels , nothing boring about this to me although you do get used to the power compared to when you first drove it after the upgrades , but the car never feels slow to me , quite the opposite, it's a rush rowing through the gears and feeling that slam you into the seat torque ! And the sound is just as good !!! Never selling my Cobra !!

Drive something else for a couple days then jump back into your car, that feeling happens at any power level, I made a 3 gear pull today and was like damn is that it, then I decided to go second gear thru 4th and all was good again. I honestly could not believe how slow it felt, I was like it never feels this slow.

I don't drive the cobra everyday but I get what you're saying.

I think we all get use to the power after a while, and for some it's never enough.. I say park the car for a few weeks and when you get back in it.. it will feel like a jet lol

I agree. Yeah It's been 80+ degrees here so hopefully when we get some 50/70* days the car will feel better to drive.

Same boat here. When I bought my Cobra I vowed that I wouldn't need a SC upgrade or LT's.

Not even a year later and I'm already bored with the power. So now I'm saving up for SC, LT's and fuel upgrades. If that doesn't work then I'm upgrading to a GT500.

My car makes 620whp, and I'm bored with the power for sure. It seems both of my cobras get 'boring' to me after I set them up to hook. Hahaha my 04 i sold a month after I put AFS reps on it with some radials, and this car has Nitto radials and it's just meh. The car is my daily driver though

I think there is a difference between " used to " & " bored with ".
.............I don't find it boring being pinned in my seat.

700 horsepower? Boring? Well, I guess that throws my build out the window. Time to shoot for 800!

I get bored with the power of my car, or maybe I should say I don't appreciate it. Then after I drive/ride in another "fast car" it puts the terminator into prospective.

My 69 Mach 1 made 408 flywheel hp/470ft of torque with similar gearing to the cobra. The Mach probably pulls as hard in 1st gear as my cobra does in 4th. It kinda makes me realize the cobra is faster than I think.

Just this weekend I was trying to find out where a vibration was coming from so I swapped out my 315 drag radials for my stock rims with a 275 nitto 555 street tire. The cobra is able to shred the tires at 65mph from a roll in 90 degree temps. I compare that to my old 4th gen fbody that needed cold temps and to be in first gear to try to do that.

How well is your suspension set up, how well does the car hook? Is it spin city every time you go WOT? I have never ran 555r's but I hear they're not as good as Hoosiers or MT's. If the car cannot put the power down below say 60mph, that would be boring.
