Looks like Ford is readying its EPC databases. If this is the new Predator engine, what we know of Ford Modular/Coyote setups supercharged setups will change. Looks like a one piece intercooler/blower setup with the rotor pack on the BOTTOM of the assembly in the engine valley.

Oddly enough, it doesn't look like the car has direct injection pumps in the valve covers, unless they relocated those to near the intake runners?

Exciting leak indeed!

Who cares. Just reveal this car already. Getting so tired of all the leaks and speculation. No way this car is faster than a Demon.
Yeah, I agree that it is very doubtful that the new GT-500 will eclipse the Demon.

All the speculation is getting to be a bit much.

Its highly unlikely it will be. Ford has never built the GT500 to be a 1 trick pony. It's always been well rounded.

Look, I don't mean to be rude. I've owned a GT500. Heck I'd even consider a new one. But look out how Dodge unveiled the Demon. Videos each week. Hype. Excitement. Amazing launch at NYC. It wasn't some huge secret. And then the numbers blew everyone away.

Look at how Ford is launching this car. No hype. Speculation for years. Nothing for you guys to chew on but internet leaks and rumors. It sucks. This is not how you launch a car in 2018.

I'll never understand why the GT500 wouldn't gun to dethrone the Demon's speed. We already have a track beast in the GT350R. Why make the GT500 another track weapon. The GT500 should be the KING OF THE ROAD....not the KING OF THE TRACK.

Dodge had lots of secrecy and speculation. The videos told you very little and for weeks and weeks they drug out any and all specs on the car leaving only easter eggs.

when and if ford ever has a problem selling specialty cars not called the focus, maybe they'll change their marketing techniques. Until then, why change?

I don't think Ford is looking at going just straight down the track like the Demon. There will be some technology that actually works in the corners !!

I somewhat have to agree with Kaneda on this one. Dodge created some serious stir over the Demon, despite it still being a boring Challenger ;)

Ford hasn't been forthcoming. There was the "We'll only use the 5.2 Voodoo in the GT350, we'll never just slap a supercharger on it and put it in the new GT500." Now what do we have? Basically that, with speculation over specifics like cross vs flat plane, but still a 5.2. All they managed to do is drive up useless clickbait to fill the void of information.

Nothing wrong with using the 5.2 with CPC. The voodoo is more unique just with the FPC and the engineering that went into it. The CPC 'predator' will be one hell of a motor with that blower on top. They are using it because of what it can offer. Yeah, I would have rather seen a TT v8 but that wasn't in the cards.

Dodge hyped the Demon like crazy, I agree, it was fun. At the end of the day, nobody has touched the 9.6 figure with it and I'm sure it will self dent on the rear quarters and roof like it has for the last 10 model years.

Dodge strung everyone along for so long with Demon teasers we were all pretty much sick of it by the unveiling, lets not forget that.

Ford ran a tight ship with the trinity motor for the 13/14, no hype leading up to it and when they dropped that bomb it got plenty of publicity. Ford sells as many of these things as they can build but I guess they dont know what theyre doing.

If this Predator engine can produce 755 hp as has been teased, its a monstrous win for Ford. A Demon on pump gas 91 makes 808 advertised hp. For Ford, that's only 60 less than the Demon's engine. On 91, with a full liter less displacement. Assuming the teaser of the instrument cluster is even in the ballpark of accurate.

A pulley swap and tune should put it at or slightly above the Demon's engine output. Hell, Ford could have an Ace up their sleeve. Announce a GT500 next month, and in the summer announce a GT500R with 820 hp.

Even using a disclaimer, Dodge advertising power output on race fuel for a street production car is kinda cheap.
