Been looking in to the clutch kits, and am thinking of putting together my own setup similar to the LMR 10 replacement. Thinking of going with McLeod aluminum flywheel, stock 10 clutch with matching slave and hydraulic line, and ARP plate and flywheel bolts. From what I can found, I can get it all for $1211 shipped, which is less than the LMR kit using stock flywheel (I really like aluminum flywheels on force air cars, and the alum is SFI approved). Seems like a good way to go, should handle more power than I will make, and have a nice, light pedal.

Why wouldn't you go with a stock 13-14 clutch?

I was looking at the kit that LMR has and using it as my foundation. Is there a diff between 13 clutch and 10 clutch? Can it be made to fit a 07?

Definitely a difference and is made to hold more power. Go with the 13/14 kit, you'll be happy you did.

So my clutch just crapped out on me today and I’m happy I found this thread. Where are you getting all the necessary parts to build your own kit? I was going to go with Centerforce and was in this thread and awe that some are running the 13/14 clutch. My RXT is toast and I can attest to the same chatter and groan that it had. I’m at 720whp which isn’t high by many standard so would a 13/14 clutch work for me?

I'm running the 13-14 clutch in my 2010. Stock feeling as... well... stock. Holds fine on the strip, holds fine on the Autobahn at 180mph. No noise. No chatter. No unusual engagement. I will continue to run this set up until I actually overpower it. I can't recommend it enough.

I found all parts on ebay from various vendors. Just used the part numbers to find the best prices (LMR 07-09 to 10 clutch upgrade setup has most of the part numbers you need, just get the right one for the 13 clutch, can find it if you search this forum). 13-14 clutch setup, McLeod aluminum flywheel for 10-14 car, slave cylinder and hydraulic line for 10-14 car, and ARP flywheel bolts and pressure plate bolts.

Because I'm not tremendously pleased w/ the DYAD, I put together this parts list the other day so that I can go back to my stock '14 clutch at some point. Considering Ford may obsolete these parts in the not too distant future, it will be good to have them on hand anyway. I would assume they would this would be all you need to bolt up to an 12 and earlier car. But someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I just had this LMR kit installed in my '09 GT500: https://lmr.com/item/LRS-7546GT500-K/GT500-Clutch-Kit-07-09-Mustang

It is, IMHO, the bee's knees. Light, smooth, progressive and reasonably priced, not to mention Ford OEM quality.

I had considered many other aftermarket set-ups but after reading a load of reviews, I decided to go Ford. Really, really glad I went this route.

I used nothing but what the LMR kit contained for my rebuild & it's swell. No new line needed. That's all I can report.

THe 07-09 LMR kit includes this line, the 10-14 kit does not. Just mentioning it for anyone putting together their own upgrade kit. This list link a few posts up does not include this line, but does list the slave cylinder.

Yea, sorry. I put the list together for my '14 so that's why it's missing. IMHO, if you're going to replace the line, get a 70 dollar braided line from Van anyway.

Great list thank you!

I thought the 13/14 units were dual disk? Does not appear to be looking at the pictures on the tasca site.
