Looks good. The blower is not at max effort. I would imagine pulleying down will increase all.

Maybe its just me but don't those torque numbers seem low?

I was wondering the same thing. It’s achieving higher horsepower at lower boost, but on an 07-09 what boost can you run to achieve a goal that exceeds the Gen 2R? And can the motor handle say 20lbs safely to handle it? Just ranting really.

I don't think the torque numbers are low at all. Typically when you move up a larger displacement blower, torque peaks fall off because the bigger blower isn't as efficient as a smaller one. The fact that the torque increase is on par with the horsepower increase is all good in my book. Remember too this is compared to G2-R, the mac daddy of the 2.3 TVS. I'm thinking the increases we're seeing here are based on the reduction in parasitic losses in spinning the blower at lower rpm, because the G2-R certainly isn't a restriction at this horsepower level.

New 2012 GT500 Gen 3 dyno numbers:

I watched this last night, liked it much more than the first GT500 video where they were spraying. Pretty impressive on stock exhaust with cats. I'd like to see them redo it with some LTs and an offroad midpipe.

My guess on that car with adding long tubes, off road H or X, a 2.4 upper, on race fuel its in the 850s (corrected) consistently.

Cams are the big X factor here. A set of JDM Super Stock cams would add an easy 100 hp. The question I have is what is the boost pressure on the 2.6 going to look like with SS cams and long tubes? Its entirely possible (POSSIBLE) that a cam/LT combo like that could be in the low 800s rwhp on pump. Knocking on 1000 rwhp with a 2.4 upper, 15% lower and race gas/E85.

At that point youre looking at getting the rods upgraded to handle the power reliably.

After watching this vid, I know which way Im going for my blower. Gen 3! May the Gods be kind to us GT500 faithful and let VMP run a sales special on these blowers. :D :D :D At the very least put these on sale for Black Friday.

I’m ~ 780rwhp w Whipple 2.9 Gen 3 w Longtubes and 3” Upper pulley on Pump Gas. Pretty sure with JDM cams/springs and a Monoblade I could see upwards of 850rwhp on Pump Gas as well. My opinion is that these two new blowers are very equivalent in power potential. My tuner gives the nod to the Whipple due to displacement. I say flip a coin.

Probably more than that....(but not on pump)
