#metoo. I feel violated when my car has one seat ala le demon

Ive heard of optioning up a car but having to pay for a passenger seat and a back bench is odd to me. It’s only $2 but to me it’s the principal of it

Heck while we are at it, how about a single seat, with a full 5 pointer, roll cage, radio/nav/ent delete, interior gutted. Hmmmm....GT500S? For just us track guys I suppose.

Not that it’s the easiest to make street legal, but the cobra jet is pretty awesome. Fits this discription

Road course car not strip car is what I was referring to. Like the Boss 302S.

A max effort grip variation ala gt2rs would be very nice. I’m hoping Ford pulls a Porsche card and splits up the higher end Mustangs to fill 4-5 segments. Kind of headed there honestly.

Bullitt ~ 911 s
GT hp2 pp ~ 911 classic or 911r
Gt350 ~ 911gt3
Gt350r ~ 911gt3rs
Gt500 ~ 911gt2
Gt500kr ~ 911gt2rs

Fgt ~ 918

Obviously the Porsche’s offer higher straight line, peak grip and overall performance but they should at 2 to 3 times the price. The Ford counter parts I’m describing follow the ethos of the requisite Porsche’s I’m listing. Things like driving experience and balance.

Dbk is a beast. That post had me rolling.

I was hyped for my 14’ GT500, the want was strong, I just don’t really feel it for this though. I feel as if it’s going to be a heavy, nanny filled cruise missile that feels numb(but fast). Honestly I was more hyped for the gt350 than this. Even those are just now selling for MSRP around here so I can only imagine what the first year of hype train 500’s will be.

But my 14 did have heated seats lol.

It'll be heavy, yes, just as any remaining pony car is today. Numb? Sure, if you choose to cruise around and not push it at all. But equipped with the latest generation of mag dampers/IRS, an engine with power like no Mustang before it, a transmission that allows you to exploit all that power with each and every shift, this car will be galaxies beyond what any S197 chassis car Ford ever offered in terms of available raw performance. The steam roller wheels and tires as well as the binders on it can't be denied either.

He literally has no idea how he's actually currently making it worse.

I'll make you a deal killer, if the GT500 is a 2019 5.0L TT with a 10-speed, I will literally give you my 2017 Ford GT. And then I will buy a 2019 5.0L TT 10-speed GT500, and I will crash my 2006 Ford GT into it, filled with 70 lbs of dynamite, while smoking a cigarette, covered in gasoline.
With exception of a single random post last month, I haven't posted on this site in about 8 years.
DBK, I don't know you, but I am a fan. This post, along with the beautifully crafted 'WRONG" post... pure greatness. Thank you.

To DepWraith, you seem like complete toolbag with zero appreciation for the protection of sensitive information, and also zero understanding of the concept of embargos. (edit) or you're the laziest spy Chevy has ever hired.)

Says the guy humble bragging hes an insider, and is also confounded when people with real info won't share it.

Never said I was an insider, said I KNEW someone. (big difference and details matter)

Easy Question which I can't wait to hear the answer to:

How do you know anyone has "real info" if it's not shared and not verified?

Before you reply:
know
nō/
verb
verb: know; 3rd person present: knows; past tense: knew; gerund or present participle: knowing; past participle: known
  1. 1.
be aware of through observation, inquiry, or information.

Several here know that DBK has been very accurte because we have observed for more than a decade his details become fact, both for things to be or not to be. They did not need to wait until after the details became public because they knew from past experience he was correct. He has the privilege of knowing details we do not. Many of us understand this and have known it for a long time. It is for these reasons we have a very good idea we will know he is correct again.
But you are right, one cannot know for certain until the event has come to pass.

Past experience in my twelve years on this forum have proven he's either an amazing guesser or has an inside track.
I'll go with b.

Let's say I knew the project lead at ford for the gt500. If he didn't tell me verifiable info does that mean he doesn't have any or that nuts just unwilling to share?

Meanwhile you've yet to prove you had an insider either.

We’ve done this over a period of time with the various packages from Boss 302 to GT Cal Special to Pony Package to Shelby GT. There is a desire from the consumer that is strong enough to have those derivatives make both business sense and from the customer satisfaction sense to fulfill the demand. Whether it’s this new GT500 that we’ve teased, that has different levels of performance, or the GT350, that goes around the track and is participating in racing series, or the Pony Package, with a unique grille and unique wheels, there’s enough just demand and desire to make it your individual Mustang that you can spread it across performance, historical context, and then just cool stuff for the younger people who might not remember the ’60s. As long as that demand is there, you will see the plethora of choices from those derivatives that make financial business sense for Ford Motor Company and the enthusiasts benefit.

Different levels of performance...sounds like there will be some varying levels of track performance available - thankfully. Hopefully the highest level is just an option choice and doesn't have limited availability ala the GT350R.

It would be nice to be able to choose the Track or Drag Package as an option for the base car.
