LMAO. Says the guy that condones shooting a retreating unarmed person.....
You are suggesting shooting a guy that just got jammed to the ground attempting to defend himself. Prison it would be.

Once he drew his gun the guy backed away and he shot him anyway. Murder.
exactly. He didn't show any more violence or threat, after that retard pulled his gun out. Had he had a weapon it would be completely different.

part of the responsibility of carrying, is to quickly recognize a deadly threat. IE is the other person standing in front of carrying a deadly weapon. Is your life in eminent danger?? At that point IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, you shoot to DISABLE and not to KILL . Shoot them below the waste line to disable them.

You have no ****ing idea what you're talking about, and I hope you, too, never serve on a jury in a defensive weapons use case.

WTF....jammed to the ground? That's the biggest pussy shove I have seen in my life. I was pushed like that when I was 4 years old. This is NOT grounds to fire a weapon in defense. MAYBE if he was being beaten with a bat or some other weapon. You can't just kill someone for pushing you on the ground. What a pussy.

I carry. And I would have not shot this man. Simply because I have dignity, and I'm not a ****ing moron.

You guys know there are clear cut rules laid out for utilizing deadly force and escalating force? Whether the shooter was acting within Florida's Stand Your Ground law or not, he is in a world of hurt right now and for some time to come.

You’re unbelievably ignorant.

I would be saying drop the gun the second it came out. If he started shooting an unarmed retreating person, I would shoot to stop the then assailant.

Can’t believe how much this argument has changed my opinion of ccw people. Geez.

More worried about being around you untrained trigger happy folks than the other guy. Trust me!

Ok shooter mcgavin. Again, says the guy condoning smoking an unarmed retreating guy.

Time to find out what my rights and responsibilities are regarding disarming folks like you during encounters.

Hate to have you feel your life is in danger because I or someone has the flu (still the deadliest disease annually—LOOK OUT—LIFE THREAT!!!) and you go to town blasting away!

You mean, you wouldn't have shot the guy because the guy backed off once the gun was pulled on him.

If the man went after him again after he pulled his weapon, then things would be different.

When I took my Utah class, our instructor has been involved in several self defense trials as an expert witness and we went through several different scenarios with him. Just from the class I took, which by no means makes me an expert, I would think this guy was not justified in shooting the man.

We don't know what took place verbally though, and maybe I would have a different thought concept on this situation if it weren't for the shooters previous history and the fact that he seemed to like confrontation. You don't carry a gun and play parking lot spot security.

We agree on this. But you're talking full force out your ass about "shooting to disable until you know you need to do otherwise". What ghetto-ass CCW program did you attend, the He Shoona Shot My Baby Like Dat school?

I would "step in" as well, except my version wouldn't be me immediately bulldozing the guy to the ground.

To elaborate on my “shit is crazy” statement.

I agree with above.

If you get involved you end it.

Sure shove him, but you follow that with..................(blank intentionally cause pre-meditated is a thing) and drive away before it wakes up.

This is a thing even here in communist socialist paradise of igloos.

Guess he’s handicapped now. Seriously that sucks over something so stupid and I think he should be charged when it comes down to it. I have a hard time minding my business when I see something like this and would prob say something and keep moving. Def wouldn’t sit there and argue about it.

This is such an ignorant statement that I’m convinced you’re just trolling. If you’re serious, you have absolutely no clue at all what you’re talking about.

That will teach the innocent people that you serve. Give them a slice of police harassment because of something you read on the internet.

If this had happened in Canada there wouldn't have been any pushing or shooting, just a lot of apologizing and maybe some poutine sharing.

It sounds like this guy was mentally unstable at best and should not have owned a fire arm. This is a 2A argument and one that needs to be sorted out. I just don't know how you decide who is crazy or not. Slippery slope.

Wondering how was this guy shot in the chest when video shows him already turning his back and stepping away...

By the Video alone It Looks like Voluntary manslaughter to me, I hope FL does the right thing here.
