I am relatively old as far as Boss owners go - and I did consider that as a partial cause of whacking the heCK on my right knee on the steering wheel adjustable tab that hangs down under the wheel when I get into the car.

But I dismissed that as a factor. Whether you’re 18 or 80, you still get into the car the same way.

Maybe if you were really obese it may make a difference on whether you hit the tab or not - but I am not a big person.

If it happens to no one else (and I’m sure it does), it could be that I have the wheel too low. I will try raising the wheel, hence raising the knee-buster, and see if that helps.

Ok - this is officially my longest post and it is dealing with an idiotic topic. That’s how desperate I am to talk about the Boss.

Issue solved, thank you All for your input - that’s why I love this forum.

For those of you who won’t admit that you whack the profanity out of your knee cap on the adjustable wheel tab underneath the steering wheel, I will share with you my solution anyway as I am a fair man...

Ready??? Write this down and feel free to share this method with other whackers - I just stopped whacking my knee on the steering wheel adjustable tab when getting into the car. Not that complicated and seems to work.

If my brave fight in sorting through this issue and coming up with a viable solution to the problem has helped just one fellow knee-whacker, then my research and the accompanying required investment of the time, effort and pain I went through to solve this plaguing issue for my following Boss wranglers has been well worth my time spent.

No need for individual thanks and accolades, please just accept a collective heart felt “your welcome” from a recovering whacker.
