Continental’s on 350R

Once my Cup 2's on my R are spent I will be going with the Continentals as well, 305/30/19 front, 325/30/19 rears. From the reading I've done it seems like these will be a close match the the Cup 2's as the Michelins run large.

305/30/19 front on 11" wide wheels
325/30/19 rear on 11.5" wide wheels

Irdered the Continental ExtremeContact Sport. Anything specific i need to watch for or be careful of coming from Cup 2s?

What is your experience with the Continentals? Have you compared them to the Michelin Pilot 4S or other Maximum Performance Summer Tires?

I've just compared them to Goodyear F1 Supercar 3's (awsome tire). The Continentals lose grip after they get hot and can be unpredictable on the track.

I bet the supercar 3 is a fine tire. I was really happy with the 2s.

They don't have grip when cold but they take heat like a champ, have pretty darn good grip and wear like iron.

I have the Conti Sports on mine 305 & 325/30 on R spec wheels. No track, but love them on the street. I personally don't see where they give up anything to the Michelin in any category...again, on the street. I will even add this; my car tramlined like a mofo on some freeways around the house. the Conti with no other mods completely eliminated tramlining. As mentioned, the Michelin 325 is too darn wide and square. The 325 Conti will fit and give an appearance more like the 315 SC2. I am extremely happy with them and they look phenomenal.

OP, stay on top of your air pressures. Continentals seem to be a bit temperamental with pressures. They're great tires on the street at 7/10s or below. They're a bit sketchy on track or above 7/10s on the street. You're also going to lose some steering response with the Continentals.

Are they especially tempramental in either higher or lower pressures?

Too low, and you're gonna get terrible steering response, no feel, and unexpected understeer. Too high, and you'll get unexpected understeer AND oversteer.

The DW, DWS, DWS-06, and ContiSport Contact II. I haven't tried the EC Sport yet, but considering the history, I expect they follow the same trend, only to a lesser degree.

That assumption is a stretch considering the reviews of the ECS cite great improvement with respect to steering response.

Off power short of corner exit, yank the wheel and hit the throttle. Can't blame the tire for the results there.
