If you want to host pics/vids, set up your own website. Its cheap and you are your own boss. Not to mention all the other benefits you can have with your own site. (backups, emails, chance to play around, etc)



I do not want to see "premium" memberships here. Creates problems when you have "VIPs" having issues with "normies" and since money talks... you can see where that will go.

Site was born free and should remain that way.

I've come around to your way of thinking on the videos. I didn't realize they used so much bandwidth. The problem with putting how to pics on individual websites, however, is that sooner or later a Cobra will be sold and the owner may move on to other interests and delete the pics. A new member will then turn to the pulley install how to [for instance] and see a bunch of red Xs... Pics yes! Vids no...

A person could always just copy the how-to, and pics on to a thread in the modifications forum, and if it is something popular it could be stickied to the top. Picture hosts are a dime a dozen, and to save space on this Board we should take advantage of other sources. MUSTANGMODS.COM is a great host. This is unless Sid wants to do it, and make a little green on the side ;-)

BTW a quick google search came up with this cheap hosting solution:

cheap host

400 MB storage, 20Gigs/month transfer rate, free email, spam filters...

Not sure how good they are, but all that for $5/month isn't bad.

If anyone needs help understanding how to FTP files up to a webserver I am happy to help.

Adding a "premium" membership still keeps the site free doesn't it.
