Hey guys I haven't been on these boards for years and not sure who is still around or who is on here but I'm hoping someone can help. Does anyone know a shop or talented mechanic that may be willing to help finish a project? I have been restoring a fox body and I have an assembled built, centrifugal blown engine, Newly built rear and, suspension in place. My problem is that I was 38 when i started working with the builder on the motor and I'm now 45! It's a long story but I've waited 2 years for the machine shop, 1 year for the rear, a year here and there for "custom" parts to be made.ect.. It's taken going on eight years to put the motor together literally. I'm like getting excited because its finally assembled and now I need a tranny. When I call about it, this person gets all pissy and acts like I'm bothering him. Meanwhile I have 10's of thousands of dollars just sitting there as I'm getting gray. I stayed patient because he does know his stuff but this is rediculous. I'm not sure if he doesn't like me lol, is just too busy or just plain don't give a shit. The last one is my guess. Anyway, I really hope someone can lead me to a person or team who might be able to help that's in the MD, VA or Pennsylvania area?. Years are going by, my kids are growing up, and just want to enjoy this dream car of mine. Sorry for the long post y'all.

Not knowing how your shop bill was paid or how running parts changes were made, can't comment on length of time car was in his shop. But assuming you have the money to finish, time to pick your car up and bring it home until new shop is found.

Yeah. Motor is the only thing there. I'm going to be picking it up I think here shortly. I can't even get excited about working on the thing because I now I need help finishing and if it was up to him, I'd be dead before it got done.
*Edit. I DO have the funds to finish. That's part of the frustration

Hey Billy! Long time no talk to! Sorry to hear of your issues. Its cool that you’re building an awesome Fox! Still have he Comp O?

Billy Wise at Burnt Mills Auto would be a great start here. He’s on Route 29 right before Four Corners. Right down the street from you. Talented guy, MACA member for years. I can text you his number if you’re interested.

Dwight! Good to hear from you buddy! I'm hoping you and the family are well! Yeah I know Bill and talked to him through FB a couple of years ago. He wasn't real interested at the time cause he was super busy but I may try him again. I think he works on newer stuff now. Thanks for the suggestion!
Btw, sold the cobra years ago. 2010 to be exact. Bought a boat instead. Dumbest thing I ever did
