Does anyone know what key the stock crank takes? I had some breakage

The part number at MMR is 461200, although I believe the key was the same for all 4.6 engines, so you may be able to source it from anywhere. I would recommend upgrading to the newer one piece crank gear though. It's a much better design than the old 2 piece gears our engines came with stock.

Thanks for the info. I was running TFS gears. Valves froze, took the gears and key with em

I had the same exact thing happen with the old 2 piece great design.

Keep in mind if you get the one piece crank sprocket you also need the correct crank trigger wheel. The stock one will not work, it's too thick from what i remember.

I have the thin trigger already. It was required for the gears. I've already ordered the once piece replacements and adjustable primary gears. I was a little leery of this setup to begin with. Just proved my reason

When people use those adjustable crank sprocket gears I've always seen them pinned together after the timing is set.
