I’ve had the swap completed since early July, but spent most of summer having the wife Drive the car back and forth to work and occasional date nights.
But with the weather changing and tracks closing I decided to take the car to Maryland international raceway today. The car has only been street datalogged with Jon Lund jr. So I was excited to finally get some traction logs for Jr.
Drove the car 70+ miles to the track, techd in, Aired the 305-45-17 et r tires down to 17 and pulled up to the lanes. The cars suspension is not setup for drag racing and I knew it would lack in the 60ft. But to my surprise, right off the street it went 1.49 60ft and 9.9@136!

I was blown away and stoked how awesome it felt. I came back and let car cool down while I watched/helped others. I did not do any icing or make any changes, just maintained tire pressure. Second pass I attempted to manually shift it with the select shift buttons because I felt the car lay over on big end from shifting too early. This did not work well and I blew the tires off. 10.59@135

3rd pass I just wanted to get more logs for Lund so I again left the car in drive after doing my burn out. Car fried the tires again and went 10.22@137.

Both passes with car in drive I footbraked the car to 2,000-2300 and then matted the gas.
Today was a complete blast, I’ve definitley missed being away from the scene the last 4-5yrs.
Anyone looking to do the 6r80 swap, I’ll go on record saying it’s the best mod I’ve ever done to any of my cars!

Can vary widely, if you do all the work yourself, keep everything stock and sell all your stock stuff could be as low as 1,500ish.

Just depends on how many options and what brand of stuff you want to use. Fuel system, controller, converter, trans hard parts can all make it more expensive.

I have 2,610 into my swap after selling my stock setup. Circle D converter, tune, gear swap, one piece driveshaft, loop, not including the Fore fuel system, which was another 1,800.

I thought it would have been more than that but then I forgot about the resell value of the takeoff parts. The amount you have into the swap is reasonal reasonable when you look at the results. Very nice Sir.

Truly the best mod I’ve ever done! These cars should have come with this option from the factory. ;-)
I wish ford had that option. You got any pics of the inside with the auto setup? When i had my 2013 auto 5.0 i thought it was the best auto ford came out with. Fast shifts thanks to @Shaun@AED and very DD friendly.

Very nice OP!
Congrats on the times/MPH. Awesome stuff.

How much faster/more mph do you think you'll gain with the new mods?

The car went 9.9@136 with it shifting in to 5th at the 900-1000ft mark with the Gen2r and 373s. So the car laid over before crossing the trap.
Just swapping gears to 331 should help shave 1-2 tenths off, from not hitting tires so hard on launch and keeping it in the powerband in 4th. I’m not looking for a lot of power increase. I plan to only swap blowers and do comparison for the masses of gen2r VS Gen3 with all the same mods and same boost (18-19psi) with a 2.7 pulley.
If car goes 9.6-9.7 still on 93, 4,070lbs on street wheels and tires, I’ll be very happy!
Thank you for the props!

Gear change should definitely help that short 6R first and the trap rpm.
What is your shift point?
Is it a built shortblock?
The car should love the Gen3.
