CRT performance in Norwalk, ohio. Great people to work with.
Yes, good crew. Hopefully we'll have something truly local.
I tune with Lidio at Alternative Auto. You'll see us at Milan regularly. I prefer Norwalk, but Milan closer.
Would be good to get some local drag GT500s together next season.

I have already taken my gen 3 off. Unimpressed. Slightly higher peak than gen 2 r but have up low end and average power.
Doesn't make sense.
I have first hand knowledge of what a Gen 3 does compared to a 2R and IF you maximize the potential, the Gen 3 will always win.
If you don't push your combo hard, the upgrade may not be worth it.
What pulley combos did you run with each? What fuel?

Me too.

2.4 on gen 2, 2.8 on gen 3 (IIRC-19lbs on both). If you are running pump gas on an unbuilt short block you are wasting your money going from Gen 2 to Gen 3. Ask me how I know ;)

what is your set up and what gains have you seen?

really I was gonna throw a Gen3 on instead of my 2R it would be on stock motor but was looking for some more power before I went E85/Cams or E85/lower.

Im poor and will need to wait to build my motor a little also unsure if I am going to or build a street/strip car might do a boosted (turbo) terminator

Save your money for built lower and go e85. You can hit >800 easy with Gen IIr.

Hey guys. Just purchased my 1 owner 14 GT500. This is the baseline pull a few weeks back. 617/632 from stock unmolested car or tune.

If that’s bone stock, those are some serious SAE numbers! Shows why punching it at 3000rpm on stock tires is a very bad idea :)

J,

I was lucky enough to meet the 1 owner. He was 74 years old. He ordered and bought the car cash. Put 27k miles on it driving around Fl and 2 trips to Ca. Said car never saw 5k RPM and the carfax shows oil changes every 6mo @ Ford. Nothing but Ford recommended services have ever been done to the car. It lived in their summer home garage in Saint Augustine Florida untouched aside from Ford picking up for services while they were in their home in Canada... NOW she will get the upgrades she deserves next week!

Old setup VMP R 2.4, 67MM TB, JLT 123, ID1050X, VMP BAP, Kooks LTs off road H With these mods made 680rwhp 638tq.

Newly added L&M nsrs, VMP 72MM TB, DSS CF DS ( just putting in there because it was added at the same time.) I added a VMP tensioner because I had belt slip before. Now I am at 755rwhp 661tq @ 18lbs

Pretty happy haven't gotten to drive it yet. Def sounds like I wanted it to and of course it raining here today so no pulls yet.

Wow that’s awesome.

Reminds me of the 07 I bought with 6k miles on it.

Driving home after I bought it, the factory shift light scared the crap out of me the first time I went WOT as it started flashing at 4500 rpm LOL.

Old guys love to pamper their retirement toys.

@gimmie11s I can imagine! That would have freaked me out not knowing too!

So here is a pull on a dyno I will be running Sunday. I wanted a before and after on 2 different dynos. This pull, my IAT2 was just over 130F (previous was 110F) from the drive over so the results from the above previous pull are pretty damn close to each other. I will make the after pass on this same dyno Sunday and follow up with the 1st dyno later.
