Wondering if anyone can help me identify the center adaptor for the lower radiator hose? I have the NOS one in the picture but I’d prefer not to use it if I can help it as I’m putting a R race car back together.

I'm trying to find a complete lower hose assembly. With the 3 hoses.
I can make you pretty much anything you need for hose couplings I think. Why don't you want to use the original?

I'm looking for an original lower hose assembly for my friends car, and it's been difficult.

I don't want to waste NOS parts on a R race car that's going to see track use. The only thing unique about the hoses is a part number of one of them. All of the other ones I was able to source from NAPA.

I'm going to talk to a few old timers and see if I can figure out where the part was sourced from because nothing I can find online is even close.

Doesnt strike me as something difficult to make, especially if you dont bother with the petcock (which I would not think you would want on a track car)

There is a writeup from a while ago, where someone went out back of the parts store and matched up the bends... while that works for a track car, it will not work for restoration.
The hose assembly has part numbers that I cannot cross reference. Do you know what hoses ford started with originally? I would assume that it was already from the ford production line.

I thought the hose coupling was unique. Most of the ford ones I've seen are plastic.

It's hard to even find pictures of an oem hose assembly. I tried convincing my buddy to buy a whole lower hose and degas bottle assembly, but it was quite pricy on eBay. And we only need the hose part of it.

Keep me/us in the loop with what you find.

Mark,

I looked into this also and couldn't determine where that metal spacer was sourced from. I did have to replace the petcock and it was literally an exact duplicate of one in the Help section at Auto Zone. I figured I would fab one in the future if needed. That is one of the items I am still lacking for the Snipes car.

I'll take some pictures and do a write up of the parts as I have both all the original hose and the NAPA replacement pieces that someone was nice enough to compile for us. Even on a restored car I don't think the hoses would look that bad. The only production hose I see is the lower one. The rest are unique and probably not parts bin items.

Phil Sag did the original write-up on the hose swap part numbers. I think we published in it VENOM. I believe it has been posted in here as well over the years.

I have been taking pictures of all my 95R parts and think I'll start a thread to show what each part looks like. I didn't realize how many unique parts there are on a 95R.

Somewhere out there is a .xls file of them. Also it's in the SVT recognizition guide book. That said it would be cool to have a gallery for reference and verification.

I'll start working on uploading the images and explain what each one is. First I need to reduce the size of the images so I can upload them.

What are the OD of each of the three outlets.

My thoughts are it can be fabricated from a std. copper plumbing fitting.

32874 - Elkhart 32874 - 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 3/4" CxCxC Reducing Tee

for the drain pet-**** drill a precise hole opposite the Bull on the T and thread this fitting in
BRB038-025 - Bluefin BRB038-025 - 3/8" x 1/4" MIP x FIP Brass Bushing (Lead Free)

then solder it.

Phil,

The original piece is steel but I guess it could be done in copper from a perspective of making a functional piece but it wouldn't be very "correct".
