Jim, in your experience with these cams how do the stock retainers handle the valve lift? Can they handle 7000 rpm redline? My car is a weekend fun car that will see the drag strip a few times a year. Its not for competition. Thanks!

No issues with wear and tear on the stock retainers, we've had engines come apart with 50K + on them and they were perfectly fine. We use stock retainers in most of our builds. Our Super Cobra Jet engines we use Titanium retainers to lighten up the valve train a little bit. Otherwise stock or the Chromoly Crower retainers are all that is needed.
