What California's New Exhaust Law Means For Drivers

January 1st, 2019 California enacted Assembly Bill AB1824 making modified exhaust a non-correctable violation, meaning it's no longer a "fix it" ticket and can cost you, according to some up to $1,000, even for a first offense. According to what we found in the California Bail Schedule should be more like $280. Already social media has been flooded with stories and videos of people being pulled over and issued tickets for having an exhaust that is too loud.......

I wonder what residents do that have a failed or failing factory exhaust? I assume you need a CARB decal for that now too.

Soooooo happy I got the F out of that state when I did.

Wait until the top tax rate doubles to 26.6% to pay for "free" healthcare, "free" college, etc.

Conservatives didn't like Brown... wait until they get a taste of Newsom with a supermajority in the state legislature...

$1000 ticket for a loud exhause, meanwhile it's still a $150 to $250 ticket for texting while driving.

And texting while driving is WORSE than DWI:

Crazy thing about the new exhaust law is you'll get ticketed and have instant sticker shock at the fee. Not to worry because all you have to do is take it to any liberal local court and have it thrown out! These traffic judges are so defendant-friendly its crazy. Ive done it several times on other traffic infractions.

Stepping over dollars to pick up pennies is the only way to fly in CA!
