Not a fan, though I'm not surprised at all to see something like this. It basically looks like they're trying to make a BMW X6 type vehicle.

I do wish manufacturers would stop using older car names for vehicles that are nothing like the originals, such as the Eclipse or having suvs "inspired" by performance cars like this Mustang crossover. I understand they're going for brand recognition and I'm sure some people will eat it up, but I think it will have the opposite reaction from other people as seen in this thread.

I think a Mustang based Sport Wagon, like a BMW or Mercedes sport wagon would be killer! Offer a 5.0 Coyote as an option on the GT and Id buy one as a family car all day everyday. Pick up the kids, get some groceries, make some pulls in Mexico on the way home with the kiddos screaming with delight? yes please!!

Just dont SUV it.

Also, I was at the NHRA Arizona Nationals this past weekend. Chevrolet had a demonstrator COPO Camaro that had a "crate" electric engine in it. Literally a COPO Camaro with engine and fuel tank removed, replaced by a high-output electric motor and battery pack where the fuel cell went. Ran in the 9's...

Super cool and stupid fast but the only thing I could think of was "It has no goddamned soul at all..."

Also, I support FCA's efforts to repeal the Obummer era CAFE regulations. Completely asinine.

Glad I’m never buying another new vehicle. My ‘14 was my first and last. This new shit is absurd and will be impossible to restore years down the road.

Not a Ford rendering so I dont really care about that picture, but Im pretty certain Ford is going to expand the Mustang design to essentially create a lineup of various vehicles off of it. This crossover is basically confirmed but the one I would like to see is a four door like the rendering someone did a while back.

As the liberal disease finds it's way into every aspect of our life, the ridiculous and absurd become more apparent.

Is faster with less maintenance ridiculous and absurd? Have you ever driven an electric car? My mom's base model Tesla is almost as fast as my supercharged Shelby.

Guess it's intended to go like hell over curbs, and rock crawling. Jesus it's ugly.
I think someone looked for the most hideous rendering they could find.

It’s mustang inspired, not mustang based.

IE design cues and lines.

You guys are reading way too far into this
Amen, brother. Personally, I can't wait to ditch my Focus Electric and buy whatever Ford is peddlin' next.

So when is the Ikea salesman done and out of Ford? As he has totally tried to ruin them by going down this blind alley that is SUV/Trucks only nonsense. Toyota has just said if fuel prices start to go past $3.50 a gallon then Trucks would be hit hard, hence why they are keeping a lot of their cars around, just so as to be able to cover and so sell vehicles without a bunch of down time as you switch out assembly lines to produce more fuel efficient vehicles.
