So true. It will continue to be a slow car for a while unless a 4 valve or Coyote falls in my lap.

It could also be LS swapped. Lol

Oh, or the newest; Hellaphant. Now a Hemi powered Mustang would make a statement.

In the 90's, we had bumpers. In the '00s, we had "fascias." Nowadays, there's no friggin' bumper anymore. Just monstrous grilles with tiny support webbings that may have paint on them.

I wouldn't do an engine swap.

I'm telling you, my '00 4.6l with a Kenne Bell and 4.10's was the most violent car I've owned. That angry little bastard hooked 100% of the time, ran 11's at the dragstrip, and was an absolute blast. Even after the 5.4l swap, cams, 20+psi, it was making 3x the power but lost a lot of the primal "grunt" that the thing had with the 4.6l. Getting on the highway felt like a scene out of StarWars where they enter light speed.

You can find a used KB 2.1IC kit for < $2k, and all you need in addition to that to run it is an upgraded fuel pump (SVT Focus + BAP = perfect). Boost, FP and AFR gauges are nice, but I ran out of funds in 08 and didn't spring for gauges until the following year.
