New Color | Grabber Lime | Coming to a 2020 Mustang Near You

DEARBORN, Mich., March 15, 2019 – Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Ford is unveiling Grabber Lime for the 2020 Mustang. More potent than krypton-ite, this high-impact green inspired by a vintage Mustang color from the 1970s is sure to leave other muscle cars green with envy.

“It’s lime green on steroids,” said Barb Whalen, Ford color and materials manager. “This color traces back to a Mustang heritage color while bringing it forward with more modern, dynamic pigments and bold new energy.”

Grabber Lime is one of two new feature colors available across the Mustang lineup for 2020; Twister Orange is the other. In addition, new Iconic Silver and Red Hot Metallic will freshen up the new Mustang palette, including for Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT500 models.

“These bright, vibrant retro colors are trending in design – in home furnishings, sportswear and even appliances,” said Whalen. “Aspirational and confident, they are fun, youthful colors that make a statement of how you want the world to see you and who you want to be. And your car is an extension of that.”

The new 2020 Ford Mustang arrives this fall.

Id order the 500 in stryker green in a heartbeat. this grabber lime is disappointing and not for me.

 

Love it, I think it even looks better than Snakeskin Green.

I would love to order one, but with a price tag at over 100K, AND trying to be able to order one, I'll pass. If I'm paying 100K for a car, I want it EXACTLY how I want spec'ed out.

Yeah I’m going to wait for the used car market on them before trying to get in one. My wife would never allow me to spend 100k on a car. If I’m gonna drop that kind of coin it better be red and Italian

Good catch. I was thinking there may have been some digital trickery.
My buddy has a GHIG Boss and I didn’t think I’d like it until I saw it in person. Love the metallic and I’m guessing this color may be similar—love it or hate it once you see in person.

A certain person at SVT made sure that the 2013-14 GT500 was not available in GHIG because he hated that Dodge color. He refereed to it as "ugly Mopar green".

Heard that too and bummer. I really dig the color on my buddy’s Boss and a Trinity with black stripes would look killer in GHIG.

Probably same genius who thought it would be a good idea to put toothpick rods in a $5k block and a 6060 transmission instead of the Magnum XL transmission.

 

At first I was "hell yes". Then, I remembered I'm not a fan of green.
Then, the more I see it, it's not even a pretty green. Just a different shade/hue.
So in other words. No.
