What did you tighten the nut with to get enough torque?

I didn't tighten to a specific torque value but rather tightened until the bushing bulged out far enough to (roughly) match the OD of the cup washer above it.

Has there been any new developments with any of this? Still very interested in the setup, and am getting tired of running them on full firm 24/7 :nonono:
If you ever want to go back to stock or sell off the car and get rid of the parts please pm me.

I never went through with the conversion and have now sold the car, but I posted a fairly simple control circuit a while back that will switch and hold them...

Mine is for sale now, as is. I'd love to sell you the electronic damper setup as it comes with the car!

So, hows does this story end, if it at all? I saw a set of the Damptronic struts/shocks for sale and remember stumbling upon this thread a couple of years ago.

I purchased the car from Tob approximately a year ago. The system works well. Sport mode is rock hard lose dental fillings firm.... Comfort mode is still far from comfortable. However, though the ride is firm in comfort mode, it is noticeably softer than the sport mode. In both modes the car basically rides on rails. I am 49yrs old with 3 back surgeries-- so don't rag/abuse a car and certainly not one so much sweat equity was put into to make so nice... but have pushed it enough to know it stays planted in turns.

Mine is very comfy in comfort mode. Maybe yours is a little firmer due to the Springs that Tob installed? I am running the stock springs, and I think if I remember correctly, Tob is using the FRPP ones. Nevertheless it is hands down the best mod!

I love hearing that Harry. This was a great mod and as unique as you can get.

Tob, there any way to get connectors for this? I’m investigating whether or not this is worthwhile/possible on a 13 GT500. Mainly curious where the wiring would need to go to integrate with the stock components. It looks like I’m prewired for the struts but not the shocks. Any updates on this as of recent?

My car has been gone for a few years now. I really did enjoy this mod. I don't see why you couldn't use all factory hardware. You may have to have a dealer do some programming if you couldn't find a way to do it yourself.

I think it’s a great mod for these types of cars. Especially if you have a sub box in the trunk and don’t want to keep a 13mm and a wrench on hand at all times to tune your suspension.

Do you have any idea where the hardware would be or would it be best to try and chase wires or a diagram? I also think the rear connectors could be an issue still. Do you think you could still get your hands on some? I read through your entire post and it seems like the connectors are a point of contention.

I’ve been scouring the internet for wrecked Shelbys (rip) and have not had much luck finding one that is not being repaired.

Factory harnesses should still be available from Ford but not for long...

For wiring just use a factory manual. Try contacting LEXiiON that posted up above. He may be in a much better position to give you advice here than me.

LEXiiON, do you know any details around if the shock connectors are able to be tracked down anywhere? I'm looking into upgrading my suspension to the damptronics. Any recommendations?

Connectors are almost impossible to get. Unless you get the body harness.
