I have not kept up to date with this one bit what so ever. In fact, I didn't think they were going to go with a '19 GT350. I love the rims.

I love the GT350. I bounce around the idea of selling my car frequently because I like the 350 so much. I wonder what the GT500's presence will do to the resale prices of the 350? I know they are two very different cars, but I'm curious what others think.

@Snagged I think they are also continuing production of the GT350 even after the GT500 hits the market for 2020.

Oh wow, I would have guessed this would have been the last year for it. Interesting.

The 500 is going to greatly overshadow the 350.

they still make the GT350? Sadly no one cares and this car will be erased from history once the GT500 is for sale.

this is the future 01 cobra, ford really took a misstep on this one

I'm glad they make both, gives the buyers options. If theres a mustang nobody cares about it's the bullitt mustangs.

Yeah im pretty shocked they will still be making the 350 at the same time as the 500, doesnt make a lot of sense to me but who knows, the 18/19 GT is like 90% a GT350 as is.

Is it though? I'm not doubting you, but can someone do a side by side comparison? Horsepower alone is 460 vs. 525. Different engine altogether. I'm wondering if someone has specs on a well equipped (maybe 2018/19 performance pack) vs. a GT350. I'm going into meetings until 11:30AM PST and I better have answers by the time I get out! LOL

The 350 is far and away a better road course car to build.

The GT is far and away the better 1/4 car to build.

Stock for stock, the horsepower ratings are deceiving. An auto 19 GT is quicker down the 1/4 than a 350.

It isnt, anyone who says it is hasnt driven either. Now as usual you can buy the cheapest mustang mod and be faster, but in the end the resale value is that of a regular GT.
The GT350 is the sum of Ford engineering thats 5.2 FPC motor w/non mt82 tranny + Suspension + brakes + tires. You can do all that to a regular GT but not sure people can spend $ for the motor.

Also, not sure people shopping for a higher end mustang will be able to swing the new GT500. Even if the GT500 was what, $65k, no way in hell would it cost that much. Lets say in two years it will start getting sold for msrp.

It’s really not...you can spec a GT similar to a GT350, but you miss the GT350s entire point, the 5.2. I’m not the cars biggest fan but i can respect its intended purpose. The Shelby has different body panels, wheels, brakes, etc etc.

It goes back to the whole ‘yeah your cars fast but i can build a foxbody to be faster for $10k’ argument.

As stated above it should be available ALONGSIDE a high hp model, so you have options.

The 2019 Bullitt is one of my favorite Mustangs to drive. It's a well thought out package.

I'm driving a PP2 2019 GT right now. It is about 90% the car that a 350 is. It could really benefit from the 2019 Bullitt's engine tweeks though. I've never been a fan of the 5.2L FPC.

I love this discussion. My car (2016 PP with Roush catback, CAI, Eibach Sportlines) is a blast to drive. The sound, the power, etc. The interior is nice too (leather, GT350 steering wheel, carbon fiber looking dash, etc.). But I drove a GT350 and 2018 PP2 last spring before buying my car and I loved the way I've done my car and the price was a fraction of what a PP2 or GT350 are. Now that I have had the car for a year, I'm getting the itch to want more. I'm thinking of VMP or Whipple, but I'm more interested in a road course car than a 1/4 mile car. I've spent the past year learning to master driving my car (the last manual I drove was my Terminator in 2010). That's why I'm so intrigued by the 350. If I bought one and settled into it, I think taking it to a road course would be a dream. I love being engaged with my car, which is why road course is my preference over 1/4 mile. My understanding is that the 350 is the ultimate road course car that is affordable. In a straight line it isn't as fast as other cars, but it is a "complete" car build for the road. That seems so interesting to me. Too bad people and dealers are trying to see 2016 non track pack cars with 20k+ miles for $50k. That's just insane. Why they even made a non track pack 350 in 2016 is beyond me.

x100 but i get laughed off the platform every time i say that.

And like @Zemedici, i give the 350 a hard time also for reasons not mentioned in this thread. However, the car is FANTASTIC looking and driving for the road course guys. I would not be lying if i said i wouldnt mind having one some day (maybe the ultimate gt350 is a 18+ coyote swapped gt350? LMAO).

I guess I should have clarified my statement slightly, a loaded 18/19 GT will be 90% a 350, and im not talking about looks wise or resale value, obvious the 350 will hold value much better and looks worlds better ( the only S550 including the new GT500 I like the looks of is the GT350). Also another point you mentioned on the 18/19 being rated at 460 HP which is pretty well documented that they are underrated (probably to sell more 350s) are actually closer to 480-490

Right!? Ford probably won’t keep it in production since it has been selling so poorly the last 4 years

You'd be surprised by the difference the changes to the Bullitt engine made. It pulls much stronger in the mid-range than the standard Mustang 5.0.

Thats amazing considering the Gen 3 5.0 already has a much fatter mid range than the 11-17 motors.

What all did they do to the Bullitt motor over the standard Gen 3?

Very cool.

I'm curious about this as well. I wasn't aware of any differences between the Gen 3 and Bullitt.

There are several Bullitts on the lot at my local Ford Dealer. I think they go for around $50k MSRP. That is eye popping IMO.
