Canton oil pan... How many quarts?

I put a canton t style oil pan on my 03 cobra.
Canton said it holds 7 quarts.
But I have added 8 Quarts with filter and it stills wont show on my dip stick.
I check on the part # of the oil dip stick and confirmed its correct...
Any one have the same issues???

it's not uncommon to have to customize a dipstick when using aftermarket oil pans.

Always add 8 quarts to mine - registers just fine with the stock stick —> Engine

As mentioned, you might have to get one custom (mentioned in the link).

This is the new pan with 8 quarts of water for reference - just gets over the top of the baffle:
