In your opinions , which is easier when pulling the trans out :

Unbolt trans from bellhousing , then pull bellhousing?

Or

Unbolt bellhousing from engine ?

I can’t get to the top 2 bolts on bellhousing .

Thanks

I always split the trans from the bellhousing. Just easier that way for me. And you can loosen the motor mounts. I've done that as well.

Is there any bolts that are on top i can’t see that connect to trans to the bellhousing? I took out 8 . I can’t see any more but they may be buried up there

There's one on the passenger side that's hard to see. It holds the breather tube in place. You'll need a couple long extensions and maybe a u-joint to get to it. I don't remember how many bolts hold the trans in place. I thought it was 7, but I could be way off.

I'd vote trans then bell. Especially when the last bolts are up high and hard to get to with the trans hanging on the bell guys have messed up those bolt heads and really gotten themselves into trouble

Trans than bell

You can go in thru shifter hole also for top bolts.

Caution on install of bell

Make sure all wires are clear there is 1 bolt with vent tube here is area where harness may fall:hang in way

You can loosen motor mounts and lift front of engine to tilt
