you dont need a built motor for that, a solid tune and don't beat the living hell out of it and it should live at 450-500 for a long time. Also you dont need to start over with 9 thread heads, just use Lock N Stitch aluminum inserts, thats what Im rocking and the builder put it together with 25psi in mind.

Thanks.

Odd question since the Mach 1 has digital odometer and a ecu would replacing either change the mileage.

My wife bought me the car but I wanted one to give to my daughter later in life. Just right now I want it and want it to be fast lol.

If I bought like a sct scanner would that add anything to my car without having a lot of mods. Would that fix my fuel issue or at least tell me if there was one.

Mileage is stored in the odometer/cluster I believe and it can be changed/corrected

If it possibly has a bama tune I’d 1) make sure there’s no chip in the ecm- located behind the lads kicknpanel. 2) If you didn’t get a tuner with the car I’d but a handheld from someone else with a new tune.

The device won’t tell you what’s wrong but you can use it to datalog and someone who knows what they’re doing may be able to pinpoint possible causes from there

Lastly if you get long tubes you’ll have to get a new mid pipe again

Sucks that the x pipe on the car now wouldn’t work.

I was told it has the bama chip. If it does is there any way I can access it and see what’s tuned.

do a search, if you did mid length headers the X pipe youre using now MIGHT work... you should be able to resell the current one now for a decent amount if you go with LTs

I dont think Bama was around back in the chip days but I could be wrong (you used to actually physically insert a chip into the ecm vs flashing it via the obd2 port). It's not an easy thing to pull the current tune out and view it and even if you did you would have to know what the stock parameters were to compare against what it is now. Easiest thing would just be to start over with a new tune.

So if it does have the bama chip could I still get a hand held tuner and be ok.

If it has an actual physical chip you must remove it first. If it was simply flashed with a tuner then you would just use the new tuner without issue

Where do I look to see if it’s an actual chip. Is it hard to get to and is it hard to remove if there is one.

As I said before gotta pull the passenger side kick panel. I believe the chip would be in the top of the ecm. You can probably google what a chip would look like sticking out of an ecm

Ok thanks a bunch. Now this might be a silly question but do I just pull that bitch out, how bad will it **** up my car if it does have a tune.

Car really doesn’t have many mods, just like the xpipe no cats, and 373 gears (well I was told 373 gears)

Dont remove it until you have a new tuner, if the car really does have different gears the odometer and speedometer will be off. Unhook the negative terminal and pull the chip out. Put the battery cable back on then flash new tune

Thanks.

I had a code read done on my car and 2 codes came back.

First was p0113 intake air temperature sensor circuit high input

And p0102 mass or volume air flow circuit low input

Any idea what those mean
