About the only thing “crude” is the coolant crossover. The rest is nice. Is it 100% bolt on? No but neither is a $6k Hellion Turbo Kit. Sure, I plan to modify my kit a little but it is purely because of a look I have in my mind.

Speaking from experience, the castings were so rough and sharp they could cut you. The "powder coating" was paint that was applied with a brush. Parts also showed up damaged which the guy who runs tork tech said to just un-bend it and run it. The box had no damage, he just packed them poorly and all the parts clanked into each other in transit.

Like I said, will it work? yes. Is it a well made product? I'm not so sure...

Yikes, definitely not packed properly, can’t have heavy ass parts like that making contact during transport/shipping...

Yeah the packing job was not on point

Fun fact, people used to complain about how crude the kit looked from an aesthetic stand point, and he'd tell customers to "frig off".

People also said "it looks like the paint was just brushed on", to which he'd reply "because I brushed it on myself!"

These were things my friend was told by the owner of tork tech over the phone while looking to order a kit.

Wherever the gov't tells me.
Just ordered my second Tork Tech kit yesterday afternoon.

As said before, some parts are crude (coolant crossover), but the kit overall isn’t bad quality. Bill, the owner, is a very down to Earth guy and has talked to me over the phone repeatedly answering questions, concerns, etc.

Could I see him telling someone to “frig off,” absolutely. But I would bet that person didn’t call up and say “Sir, I have a concern...” either.

OP - I was in your exact shoes, but had a full 03/04 Cobra swap on the table as well. My car was ProCharged, and I pulled it off to go Tork Tech. The growth potential with the kit is really what sold me on it (and the fact I’ve always wanted to be a VMP 2v). Coyote swaps are “cool” and all, but not nearly as straight forward as some people make them out to be. Sure the engine itself will only be 2k, but once you’re done with suspension mods and engine mods to actually make it a decent engine, you’re going to be well north of the price tag for a blower swap of your choosing for the 2v.

I actually saw the same concerns you mentioned. Parts bending or getting beat up. Recently I watched a few unboxing videos of the kits, and it (to me) looked like the packaging had become far better recently. If those parts weren't beat up in-transit, I'd say overall it's a nice kit. Obviously it's not roadster shop top tier cast/billet, but it works obviously.

Ironically, at the end of the day my friend with the blower called.

I may be getting his takeout motor and trans from his 03'. Which would solve a lot of problems and I could just drop it into the GT.

stock 2V will hand 400-450whp with a good tune. Mine has 420 WHP with a vortech at 14psi. It was a fast little slut.

Been looking hardcore at Tork Tech kits and Coyotes. Reason being, a friend and I are swapping cars. My 65 project for his clean 00 GT. So I'm trying to make plans to wake the 2v car up.

Tork tech kit wise, I have a set of deka 60's and a bunch of left over Terminator parts from a friends multitude of Termi builds. Also, we are taking his steig 5 off (complete) his termi vert, and I was told it's mine if I want it for the GT. So at this point, it's the TT kit, brackets, cables, HE, and WP plus fuel pumps and a tune. Should net 4-425 or so on 10lbs

Or, coyote swap. This is obviously much more expensive. Roughly 2-3 time the cost of doing a Tork Tech 2v, and roughly 3 times the amount of work. Both net mid 400s. Ceiling is definitely higher on the Yote' but I also like the eaton whine.

I'm leaning towards Tork Tech simply because I can do it in the garage largely by myself in a week. Rather than dismantling a perfectly good car and doing a Coyote swap. Also, coyote swaps are becoming prolific like LS swaps. The 2v has plenty of potential and parts are cheaper than 4v's.

Just to give some context. I had (sold on here actually) a 2000 GT, Novi 2000 at 17 psi with 8 rib conversion, Crower stage 2 blower cams, MMR short block at 8.5:1, full Aeromotive return fuel system (a must over 500hp), P51 intake, and full exhaust with Long tubes. Best dyno pull on a Superflow was 542 whp and 500 wtq. Takes a heck of a lot to get a 2v over 500 whp. All said, I had probably 18k just in parts, thus not counting the cost of the car. It was fun to waste z06s in my little 2v, but boy did it cost me. Lost a lot of money in that car. Only thing I really never did was heads. Best 1/4 at Beech Bend was 11.5 on slicks (stock rear end thus horrible 60’).

Funny story...

I sold it.

I installed everything, fighting the kit the whole time. I remembered multiple times why I sold my first kit 6 years ago. On top of that, I had an engine noise on startup that I 100% blame on Tork Techs startup tune.

I am now gathering parts for a build and will put a KB made for the 2v on it once it is complete.
