Anyone use the GT350 5.2L COYOTE OIL SEPARATOR - Ford (M-6766-A50S)? How well did it work and how easy was it to service? I am planning on purchasing a 2020 GT500 and it looks like Ford Performance may offer one for it.
FP makes that separator for both the left and right sides of the engine. The one you linked to is the right side (driver's). I took mine off that side because, after two years of checking it, it was always dry. Some cars have more blowby and the right side one helps. The left side unit always has some oil in it.

There's a debate about how easy the FP units are to service. I've never found it difficult - you undo the four top screws with a ball-end 4mm Allen key, swing the lid out of the way, suck any oil that's collected out with a turkey baster and close it back up again. The GT500 will probably have a different layout than the GT350, but if they offer this separator type, I'd just get one.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully FP will have one available before the cars are delivered. My plan is to have one installed on the day I pick it up.

I am leaning towards Rapid Red, but would like to see Oxford White,
Velocity Blue and Ford Performance Blue. I am waiting for Ford to get their Build option for the 2020 up and running before I decide.

Love the Rapid Red. Keep us less fortunate updated on what I know will be an awesome GT500.

I have one. It's been on since 200 miles were on the clock. Works good, a lot deeper than pics show, and to service, as it has been said, take off the four screws, move top over, stick in a baser and suck out into cup. Top back on tighten screws and your off. I have just the passenger side.

Ran across an article yesterday about development of the GT500 Predator engine that included a picture of the FACTORY catch can. It's pre-installed as part of the CF Track Pack option and it's designed with a drain so it doesn't need to be emptied (darned sensible). It'll be available from FP for anyone who wants to add it to a non-CF Track Pack vehicle.

Article is here: 2020 Shelby GT500’s supercharged 5.2-liter Predator engine development and the picture is down near the bottom of the article.

I'm not sure if it will be pre-installed, it maybe shipped with the car and dealer or owner installed. I guess we will know when the CF cars start showing up.
It will be my first mod and I hope to have it waiting for the car so I can install it on day one.

No sense modding your new car snoopy49. Just check that $18,000 box and not worry about installing an Oil Separator.
