HMMM a 50K 2019 Mustang Gt or a 2020 Mid Engine corvette for 60K .......

And get drug by the 50k 19 GT every time.

0-60 in 3 is only on z51.

So it will take 80k to compete with the lowly peasant GT.

I mean it already has 180* headers and doesn’t make 500hp so who knows.

Maybe it makes 495 whp lol we shall see. I don’t think aftermarket will be as kind to them as the c7. Again, we shall see.

Yeah, the rear end of this car doesn't impress me. Maybe over time, but I'm not feeling it. Especially those old school looking Borla exhaust tips. Yuck. I love the front and side profiles though.
Still not really feeling the interior either. That strip along center console is kinda ugly.
Yes I think the rear is a bit busy looking and reminds too much of the Camaro and less of its older siblings. But I am sure they will tweak that in years to come or with different trim options. I would have to see this in person. I just know someone is going to combine this with the right rims, tires and trim options to make it look awesome.

The center console strip contains all the climate control buttons etc. It is a purely form follows function design approach which I think comes from a good place. I can see myself liking those buttons being within closer reach instead of leaning over to the screen to change climate settings. I think it was a good move on their part to place all those manual controls on the divider strip. The interiors appears to be designed ergonomically for the driver. Some might not like the aesthetics but will appreciate the ergonomics.

I realy like the price for the base model. Hopefully Ford will consider reducing their prices. I've been leasing GM the past 5 years because Ford just did not offer anything comparable within the price range I was interested in.

Right there with you. I’m hoping the higher trim models correct this.

That’s funny. I hope you’re not serious.

0-60 in under 3 is only on the Z51, but only due to 2 options that come with it. Performance exhaust bumps hp and tq by 5 each and better tires, so not a huge difference over the base C8.

You can either take care of that in the aftermarket or get a Z51, which will not boost the car from $60K to $80K.

And gear ratio changes for the z51
