I recently installed the Foster Sound Tube mod on my 14 GT500. Install was super simple and it really adds some sound to make things more exciting. Below is a video of install and sound clips. It took less than an hour to install it.

I think it's cool. How is this any different than swapping out axlebacks? Neither mod does anything at all from a performance standpoint, but they both add sound which improves the driving experience. Nobody catches any shit for swapping mufflers.

Because this is dumb. It’s a damn rubber tube that gets routed into your cockpit that is overpriced. If you can’t hear your blower and it really matters, get quieter catbacks. I have videos of me racing and you can’t hear anything but my blower over both car’s exhausts.

Personally I wouldn't install it in my car, but I fail to see why it's "dumb". Because the tube is constructed of rubber? Because it's overpriced? Why spend $600-1,000 on quieter catbacks when you can purchase this for $150? You're spending 5x more for the same exact end results - more audible whine....many would consider that dumb. To each their own.

And I'm not trying to give you a hard time, PM, I just don't see why this mod gets all the hate.

Seems nice if that's your thing. My '13 is a convertible. Top down....highway speeds...Corsa Sport straight thru mufflers.... I stab the throttle and still hear the blower whine.

Or you can leave stock catbacks on and save all that money all together. lol.
Point is, its a ricer mod plain and simple. Dude is making 1khp with the biggest VMP blower made. Do you really think he cannot hear his blower without this mod? lol

you... you realize rice is an acronym right?
Race
Inspired
Cosmetic
Enhancment

All 2011-2017 5.0s come with sound tubes from the factory so I guess that makes ford king of the ricers lol. Some of us like our loud exhaust and want the blower whine too, I cant hear my whipple at all over my exhaust. Now ricer would be what BMW does where the sound speakers in the car literally play a synthetic exhaust note inside the car while driving. Nothing wrong with amplifying mechanical noises what we all like to listen too. I agree it is pricey for what it is and you could totally do it way cheaper with parts from home depot, but also if you're sweating $150 in the performance car hobby you're gunna have a bad time.

Ford's not above doing that either. Apparently they use that faux-pas-ology in certain F-150 Ecoboosts. I wouldn't be shocked if there were other models.

LOL so he lost your respect because he modded his car the way HE wants to??... thats a funny response if you ask me..... gt500 community on here is pretty funny sometimes.

you guys read into this too much. It was partially a joke. I think its stupid as hell mod and not even a mod. If he likes it so be it, but he did it for clicks. lol
He is probably deaf though if he cannot hear that blower. lol

i have the same kit on my car and i dont have a youtube channel. I have full exhaust without cats, cams and corsa mufflers so i can barely hear my 2.3 tvs over my exhaust at WOT. I am certainly not deaf.... funny thing to me is.... as an owner of the kit, I actually have experiance in what im talking about.... i can almost guarantee that you have NEVER in your life even been in a gt500 with this mod. So im curious why you even have an opinion on it. This is what i was referring to when i said the gt500 community is funny sometimes exactly..... it is funny how people have such strong opinions over things they dont have any experience in

I have no doubt he could hear it, but I guess that’s not enough for some. Ricer mods to me are ridiculous cosmetic mods (big wings, vinyl logos) and fart cans, installed in an attempt to make others think your car is faster/more powerful than it really is. This is a mod that only the car’s passengers can hear, it just adds to the driving experience, so it doesn’t qualify for me.
