I don't know what the GT vs. GT500 comparison is because I don't even know of a slick that fits the GT. I'm assuming this is about Sebring.

The GT is a faster road course car than the GT500 period, BUT an early GT that is hot can certainly be slower than a GT500. Hero laps? No, a GT500 will not be faster than a GT.
