ok so i hit the first hiccup. do i need aftermarket rails for the install of the crusher set up? i tried to drop the blower and i/c down into the intake and the crusher plenum hits the part of the rail that bends up and connects to the flex line. and no there isnt enough room to bend it out of the way without kinking the inner diameter. so if i need new rails what ones do yall recommend?

So I confirmed with whipple I will need a new rail set up. Some with Fore and they haveca set that will work so I guess that's the route I'll go since I have the rest of their stuff. Always something

At least you won't have to deal with the rails down the road. What are your plans for fuel line routing?

True.
Not sure yet. Fore has a rail kit with a front crossover and a rear kit, not sure what one to go with. I just want it to route like stock to keep it easy. I already have the level 1e kit right now, just need it to connect to that

Are you running a dead head setup?

Good luck man! Great step-up in blowers. Those injectors will be more than enough and the fore rails are amazing! Make sure you check out Broke07 as he is about to break into the 8s on 2.9L Crusher rowing gears. Always look forward to these builds!

Becareful comparing dyno numbers now a days so many shops are posting STD numbers only which make comparing numbers basically pointless but helps greatly in the sales department.

No dyno numbers to compare it too, tuned on the street. My comparison will be mph at the track.
The fore rails look awesome, as does everything else I have from them

So today was a rough day. Got a couple of things accomplished but also ran into some setbacks.
First I assembled the blower onto the intake and got the new fuel rails on. Well the rear crossover wont clear the blower intake or blower plate. Fore is taking care of it and is sending me a variety of fittings.
So then I moved onto removing my valve covers to replace with the freshly powdered ones. When installing I chipped the covers and nicked one of the gaskets. New gasket on order and am most probably scrapping the new valve covers until later (possible cam install next).
Parts should be here Friday so I'll get back at it then

Reaffirms why I stayed vmp. I'd wait and do the covers now if not you 'll be pulling the blower again.

Whipper just released the gen5 teaser pics yesterday.

I saw a pic on FB. Unless I’m misinterpreting the story, it’s just rotors. It isn’t like the Gen5 3.0 with the IC on top.

That sucks. I was hoping like hell they would do it similar to the coyote gen5 with the top mount ic. The factory Terminator ic is a choke point past 800 rwhp.

When I swapped my valve covers I used a lot of blue painters tape and then pull it after everything was done. Also kept the dirty fingerprints to a minimum.

Will you be able to run the crossover under the front of the blower?

Standard stuff when modding I guess. Nothing detrimental, just minor stuff

Best of luck with it....you will get it sorted out and be thrilled with the results IMO. It will crush the 2.3 vmp by a wide margin. Huge top end charge.....it will be perfect for those half mile events. Just look at the trap speeds in the 1/4 mile it has posted....Upper 150s is no joke on these old "dinosaurs" of a mustang.
