Has anyone else seen Whiteline Rear Uppers crack like this?

I'm having trouble with your posts ....

So, you're saying the 05-10 BMR mount is loose within the body hole where the bolt goes under the rear seats? What year and model Mustang?

Are you now saying you don't know for sure if the OEM mount has the same slop?

Correct the BMR for the 05-10 uses a smaller boss than the hole provisioned from FORD. @Robert M , can you confirm the OEM boss on the 07-09 matched the boss size on the 05-10 BMR unit?

I did some quick reading after the fact and found some people stating this was a common issue in the earlier S197 cars which of course no one mentions on their site for the parts or anyone mentions on install videos.

"Common issue" that the hole was larger than the mount boss on some?

What dies "earlier S197s" mean? What year is your car?

See above. S197's were partial redesigns in 2011 right? So earlier is 05-10.
Common issue is that the hole is bigger than the boss. I cannot confirm on stock, but aftermarket for BMR I can 100% confirm as now I am stuck not able to install mine because my whiteline was the correct boss size and upgraded bolt from an 11-14 car. So seems like Whiteline thought this through a little better

Here are my other issues.
So one pic shows the difference of the boss that fits under the seat that WILL cause slop.
Another shows the decent gap from the BMR arm into the BMR bracket
Another shows the snug fit of the new Whiteline Arm into the BMR bracket

I swear I just cannot win here. All the cult following high $$$$ parts that people suggest tend to cause me more issues

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but the bolt size that attaches to the arm to the bracket increased on the 11-up. I know BMR's bracket for the 11-up is a tight fit. My OEM arm is still attached to the OEM bracket, so I can't comment on the newer design. The Steeda parts referenced was to take up the slack in the bolt hole for OEM UCA mounting bracket because the hole was quite a bit larger than the bolt diameter. BMR also has the following on their website regarding their UCAs for 07-10 and 11-up.

*BMR strongly recommends upgrading the stock Upper Control Arm Mount when utilizing an aftermarket Upper Arm on S197 Mustangs. Clunking noise may become present without an upgraded Upper Control Arm Mount. The correct part # for this application is UCM001.

These pics show the one they suggest. The one they make for the 05-10 is like 5MM smaller than the hole Ford provides. How did they not know this, but Whiteline "who is trash" according to everyone figured it out?
Check out the pics posted above. Even their arm in their own mount does not fit snug.

The hole Ford provides isn't relevant. Isn't the threaded hole the same in both brackets? Install it on the car and bolt it down to spec. It's not going to move.

If they were the same, do you think this post would have been made? lol.
Did you ever install one of these? If you stick something into a hole and there is a few mm gap, things are going to move around right?Literally none of these parts fit snug at all. Everything has a gap. Would this not concern you if you were building something with power and raced it?

Since I have around 800 rwhp and taken the car to 185 mph at the Texas Mile, I guess it doesn't concern me. Why don't you compare both to the factory bracket?

I don’t have a factory bracket.
So you have the 05-10 bracket and the wiggle did not warrant a question?
The space between the bearing ends did not warrant a question? It must be an issue else BMR wouldn’t have reached out to me from this post to call them Monday for new bearing inserts.

Ok, So BMR is sending me new spacers for the Spherical ends and said the Boss size should be a "non issue"
Anyone know the Ford Part number for the 14MM bolt that bolts the front of the bracket under the seat? I have the larger one from the 11-14 with my Whiteline and need to downgrade now.

How about buying what has worked for everyone else and worry less? I think several guys have made attempts to steer you in this direction. You're overthinking it man!
I bought exactly what everyone suggested. The BMR stuff as posted above isn’t perfect either. They are sending me correct spacers and I just pray it doesn’t shift around on me from the bung part.
I worry because I don’t like rework. When I pay for the best I expect perfect.

I have had no clunking in my 2008 since the install 6+ years ago, I torqued the under seat bolt to, what was it? 139ft.lbs.? or something like that? The two other bolts on my UCM seem to holding in there position?

There definitely has been some changes in the 2007-2014 S197 production so a test fit for any of this is required.

The only picture that I have which is specific to the boss in question is shown below, I was not thinking of boss size difference when I took this picture, only the seat bolt size difference, but yes, it looks like the 2011-up BMR is a larger diameter boss for the seat bolt. It fit in the hole in my 2008 floor sheet metal without mods to the sheet metal.........

i can only assume that my OEM mount uses the smaller boss, and I have no clunking.

And the 05-10 mount bolt is the 139ish ft lbs. the 2011+ requires some crazy amount -- I want to say 350 ft/lbs

Bigger bolt can use more TQ.
