Tire is definitely a huge advantage for the R, no doubt.

I am eagerly awaiting the first c8 and 350 lap times comparo.

LL is getting exhausting man. It is not a usefull tool for seeing the absolute max potential of a car. The 1le is also way off pace. We will all have some of the absolute best head 2 head/best drivers car reviews in 2020 though

So when are you buying a Camaro ZL1 1LE?
Serious question.

No it’s not. Randy running each car LS is the best we have. Different writers driving different cars on different days on different surfaces(track resurfacing) is awful for comparison.

Great comparison. Best we got.

It sucks. The above is way more accurate of each cars true performance.

This guy gives a very nice illustration and the science behind C8 versus GT500. I didn't realize you could calculate so many things using math. Very interesting.

That sucks. Everyone knows this is more accurate when it comes to each car’s true performance.

And a mustang GT has turned a better lap than a c7z and 991.1 GT3.

Considering a pro driver has turned a better lap in the 350R over the z28 at 2 different tracks your information is false.
I thought he was employing sarcasm...now i'm unsure.

Literally never. My current post racing days list is;
C8, used 350R or who knows... maybe a superformance cobra. Waiting for the high end car market to crash, which it will.

I think the 20 350R will hang with the c8/z51. Of course if they were on the same tire the c8 would be on top.

Both are about 3600lbs and 500hp.

Did you guys see the Road and track article today on the c8.
0-60 2.8 seconds.
0-100 7.1 seconds
0-100-0 10.6 seconds..

1/4 mile 11.1

The article said the 19 ZR1 Corvette barely caught it at the end of the quarter mile..

Looks like this will be stiff competition for the new GT 500 even without a supercharger Or any kind of forced induction.

Considering the c6z was running 11.0 at 128 I would believe the c7 zr1 is a little faster...

No doubt it’s faster in a straight line than the 350R. But the c8 does not handle as well as the c7 performance models. Some people said it would be faster than the c7z on track. I don’t see that all.

EXACTLY!
HOLY SMOKES!!! How much more can they improve on those times with a Z06 car??!? That's very impressive to be pulling away from a new ZR1!

It’s not pulling away from the zr1. It gets a big start and the zr1 catches it. Like I said earlier the zr1 is a lot faster than the c6z. C6z is faster than c8. The c8 nails the launch.

The c8 Is faster 0 to 60 and it has almost 260 hp less in the ZR1. The ZR one is .03 seconds faster in a quarter mile.

The ZR1 barely catches it at the end of the 1/4 mile.

Also more impressive is the fact that it almost beats 2020 GT500’s 0 to 100 and back to 0 times (and it would have if it had slightly bigger brakes). 10.8 for the c8 vs 10.6 seconds for the Gt500 with 6 piston brembo with 16.5 rotors and extra 260+ hp...

The c8 will be a beast on the street.

I had the opportunity to get a good sense as to just how utterly ****ing badass the C7 ZR1 is this past weekend. That, and I was able to get a good look at the C8 while at the IMSA races at Road Atlanta.

The S550 chassis isn't even in the same galaxy as the C8.

You could stare at this ****ing thing for hours. Every square inch, optimized. What did Ford bring to the gunfight that weekend? One heck of a lot of crickets, as badass as the GT is. Displays were empty. Interest was heavily in favor of all things C8.
