Why the hell has Ford not released official performance numbers ???????? Are they waiting for the public to produce them?
Typical. They dont give a shit
Good question!
Maybe it's not producing as good as they thought/wished for? I wish we could get some numbers. I'm sure Ford has them by now.

Great looking Cars @tones_RS3 !!

Changing subjects a little - has anyone added a TVS 2.3 or new 2.65 to a GT350? I was curious if it's doable and how much work it would be?

I am wondering if Ford is just waiting for the production cars to be built. If I am right, there will be a lot of Ford ordered cars going into production next week. These will be handed over to magazines and third party testers. They will also have to supply the testers/reviewers with a lot of information about the car. Maybe now we will find out how they arrived at a $2600 Gas Guzzler Tax and get answers to a lot questions that the buyers have been asking for a long time.

Yeah,...you're probably right about the numbers. My friend has one on order. I can't wait to check it out.

After owning the '19 RS3 A10 for a bit now, I know why they are putting a 2,600 dollar gas guzzler tax on it.
My car had a 2,100 dollar gas guzzler tax on it. It likes to drink the gasoline. lol

Wtf you talking about, its grade 1 simple, will the gt500 beat the acr lap times at those tracks. Whether its .0001sec or 20 seconds.
ah, so the backflipping begins.

What course and at what tracks. it absolouty has to beat the ACR at every track to be a success? or does it have to be within say +/- 2 seconds to be a success, come on, the gt500 sucks and the ACR is a racecar with a tag. your so confident its a flop so give me the stipulations

^ seeing a 1:26 or 1:25 for z51 corvettes, and then 1:23~1:22 for gt350r and discernibly 1:21-1:20 for the gt500 is pretty awesome if I’m honest

Well car and driver did the laps in the C8 with who...? The GT500 was driven by whats essentially the Ford racing IMSA team/engineering. To say im shocked is an understatement... Not to mention the tire difference is astronomical.

Sounds like those stupid ass E-brakes arent doing the C8 any favors though. Braking zones are one of the most critical aspects of a perfect time.

Even it is a z51 package, THAT c8 is still what a 75k car? while the GT500 carbon is a 100k car.

Ford taking their sweet ass time with their 4100lb pig.

And if you want ti argue dollar for dollar the C8 will do the same thing at 67k and only the CFTP will be putting up the insane numbers. The base cars will be far off.

In fairness to comparing the GT500 to itself (in two iterations) I think everyone recognizes just how good the Cup2 is at the track. I'm looking forward to seeing how well the comparison is between the Base car and the CFTP when the Base car has the same rubber. I have a strong suspicion that "far off" won't jibe.

I agree with the super sticky CFTP cup2 on the base car it wont be far off but the base car doesnt come with those as factory option does it?

No but 100k was mentioned for gt500 and it would actually be closer to 25k less than that..
Well the only gt500 that comes with those sticky tires is 90k+ so not really. The 4s will not be relevant compared to what Ford did with those 500 spec cup 2s.

What will be totally interesting is the z51 vs the base 500's. Should be close depending on track... That is if chevy can make those stupid ass brakes work. If not then the c8 will be a complete swing and a miss to me.

Base + tires = 25k less than 100k.

Yes it's not stock.
