I was expecting the torque numbers to be higher. But 16lbs of boost with low timing. I know with those high compression motors, you can only run x amount of boost safely.

Stock lower 2.8 upper
If I had stock head and cams - boost should of been 17-18 psi
But the cams and ported heads the combo breaths better that's way 16# of boost.
At least that's my guess.
I will say this with the 10.1 CR and combo I have it jumps right on 16# and never stops pulling :)

Sounds fun, are stock logs possibly keeping the torque low compared to having LT's at this point?

I think low timing and low boost has something to do with it. But it's a safe street tune in this Florida heat!
I can't wait for that E85 Combo … But for now I like it!

Yes, that's what my tuner tell me. It should pick up around 80 HP with E85.
I'm already putting together a parts list to turn it up!

How much boost can you run with a 10.1 compression ratio

At the end of the day boost, timing, (dynamic) compression, heat, are all elements that ultimately convert to cylinder pressure. The knock limit of the fuel used will determine how aggressive any one of those items can be.

VMP gen2 TVS 2.9 upper/ Stock Lower = 17lbs 10:1 compression with previously listed mods. On 93

Dropping to the 2.6 upper for E85 looking for 20psi

I'm running 22 psi on my 10.4CR motor. The main thing is you cannot run a lot of timing with high CR. They do not like it.
