Today is going to be a pretty busy one for those with a huger for 2020 GT500 news. Last week Ford held its first official Press Drive for it's latest Snake Car in Las Vegas. Those in attendance were sworn to secrecy until today. In this thread we're going to try to aggregate all the best articles and videos in one place for you to enjoy:

Those runs at 10.9 at 130 are all in Vegas at 4200 elevation where modified pulleyed and sticky tires Hellcats ran slower at Vegas.

Right!? When I saw that I was very impressed. The car has 10.5’s in it at a great track and I’m gonna go on the record saying hero runs might be 10.25@137. Think -1000ft, sticky prepped track, full moon, and maybe 1 gallon of fuel, seats pulled out, open air box, tires aired down, all the free/driver mods.

03 cobras went 12.28@116 and 12.4@115 as the best hero runs I ever heard of iirc, with the vaaaaast majority running low 13’s to high 12’s.

I think the 2020 predators will largely run 11.25 to 10.75 with a decent handful hitting 10.6 and 10.5.

Vegas speedway is 2000 ft elevation, not 4000.

Also, there were more runs at high 120s (128ish) than 130’s.

What tony says above, and what I’ve said all along, has so far proven to be true which is; most will run high 120s/low 130s.

Bingo.

It is 2000, but it was da 3800ft to 2500ft.

I stand by my statement. @13COBRA did good if he picked up any allocations.

I thought I read da of 4200ft. Writers could have been wrong. Regardless modified and slicked HC we’re running slower times there.

I’m still not real impressed. Is it fast? Yea it’s pretty fast. Stock coyotes with a supercharger and a tire have been running mid 9s for quite a few years now and this gt500 is really just a 5.2 coyote with a blower. To me, that’s not really impressive as it is expected.
This car about much more than a 1/4 mile pass, incase you've missed that.

This argument always makes me lol. Just like in 2013/2014 when all these people were like "I'm not paying that much for a Mustang. I can just supercharge my GT or I can just add this and make more HP then that". Such a dumb argument really. If that's all that matters, then why don't we just stop making or buying new cars altogether and just keep moding Fox body stangs since ya know, there are plenty of those running 8s and 9s?

Just like 13/14, that introduced better cooling, CF driveshaft, etc., it's not all about the final HP number. Read the reviews so far of the 2020. They are saying things like this is one of the best sports cars in the world right now. It's getting compared to Porsche best sports cars. That means something. The 2020 isn't just 760hp and 1/4. Sure, slap a blower on your Coyote and run 9s. The 2020 will outshine it still in every single other area you could pit against it.

Sure, that’s probably true but literally no one in this thread is talking about lap times. They’re talking 1/4 mile times and I responded that I wasn’t impressed because a blown coyotes has been running faster times for a while.

I guess you think that its the only importance (since you mentioned it twice to two individuals). Right now the one metric (Times) we have is 1/4 and once the lap times start getting released there will be more discussion around that.

Your argument is weak sauce since any vehicle can be modded and the only limit is the check book.

When those lap times come out then it will be a different discussion, possibly, but for right now there is only 1/4 mile times, so that is what I’m commenting on. Why are some people having a hard time grasping that?

The argument about about cost and missing and all that, I get it. Anyone can make something fast for money. I’m saying that I’m not impressed because the same power plant has been going faster for a while, there is nothing special about this power plant. Transmission? Sure, but I’m talking about the power plant.

Because what you're missing is the AND. This car will do those 1/4 times AND those lap times. You can slap a supercharger on a GT and run quick 1/4 times, but that does not a good track car make.

I don’t see anyone talking about lap times in this thread, in case you’ve missed that.
I think you stand on your own two feet here.
If you're that naïve, I would suggest logging off this site, going out and doing some research (because there is a lot of information showing this car is and will be very capable on a track), then coming back and posting as an informed non-ignorant poster. Or is that too much for you?

Dude, this guy is another one of those immature internet trolls. My suggestion is to add him to ignore list ( like I am doing ) because his posts offer zero value and are only meant to stir the pot.

Stop trying to swing your dick around and post some times then.

I made a comment about the reported 1/4 mile time.

there are no lap times to comment on. I’m not going to say it will do this or that until I see some times, why is that hard to understand?
