Your pretty one dimensional if you think that a car that can:

- drive cross country with a family of four, comfortably.
- can go to the road course and have a great time.
- can go the the strip and dominate.
- can cruise the streets and bruise everything.

is one dimensional.

and let’s not forget that the 500 is a porker too. Lol

Running 10s is not 9s, papi.

I know it seems “as quick”, but it’s really not.
Is that showroom stock? Like mentioned?

Or do you consider it showroom stock if you have to wait 4-6 months (according to Dodge concierge) for the rest of your car to show up in a box and then spend a couple hours swapping the front tires, pulling the passenger and rear seats, swapping the computer and finding 100 octane and an impossible DA/track prep that no one has ever repeated?

I know 10's isn't 9's papi.

The Demon is the straight line king, which it better be, but with caveats. Let's not pretend like you could ever walk into a Dodge dealership, take off on a 1500 mile road trip and rip off a 9 on your first outing at a drag strip.

the only people concerned with “showroom” stock, are salty Ford/mustang sympathizers. Everyone else only worries about factory stock. Stock as in, the parts supplied by the manufacturer, with an all inclusive warranty, made specifically for that vehicle.

no caveats, papi.

Don’t be sore cause the Demon set the world on fire on its release while simultaneously setting several records, while the 500 can barely muster a 2 pg thread.

The 500 is never going to 60 foot with the Demon but I'd like to see how the match up after that. See no reason not to run them with crate, without, from a dig, roll, etc. Everyone should be happy these cars even exist.

I voted for Batman and hope his throat cancer can one day be cured so I can hear him speak with authority instead of sounding like an old man choking on a dry, salty, cracker.

Lol Those are caveats.

The Dodge Demon is a 9 second car*

*with factory modifications installed by owner at later time

This would go both ways.

Lets say Ford supplied a kit with the GT500, called the 1:26 kit and it had monster aero, a set of slicks, a tune, different brakes and with a professional driver lapped Laguna Seca in a 1:26, all installed by the owner after an additional purchase at a later time (but it still had a warranty). Does that mean the GT500 is faster than a Mclaren Senna, without caveat?

Also, serious question. What can the gt500 “2 step” or whatever it is rev to and what can the demons trans brake rev to?

So which car is going cross country with a fam and hitting an auto cross or road circuit? The 9.65/140 with a track prep setup on 100 octane for $90,001 plus mark up or the the $90,000 plus mark up on with passenger seat and 315 dr’s at all corners?

You cannot travel cross country with the crate parts installed and safely carry a family of 4. The seats were pulled remember? It’s also on skinnies and racegas. How prominent is 100 octane? Who hits an auto course on skinnies and enjoys the furious understeer? So on the factory setup it’s a solid mid 10 car. So is the gt500.

So now I get it. You tow the crate with you on a small closed 5 ft Uhaul trailer with tools and luggage and it has space for fuel. Ok that’s great. Towing a trailer tied up your ability to mob entirely. Having a chase vehicle eliminates the nomad like roam and run image (a badass one imo) you’re painting. I could see it being cool to hook up a storage cell on the roof and carry stuff that way. Ala Wagon cars and coffee life, so there is that idea.

The idea of needing to change wheels, Ecu and fuel plus pull seats etc is awesome, butdoing so on a gt500 isn’t magically some nefarious mod. You can buy wheels, tires, and ford performance aftermarket pieces for a gt500 that keep a warranty and if you start with a base or handling pack car, yer way under $90,001.

The gt500 on one wheel and tire, one ecu and one fuel is competitive with a demon at a strip and loads more fun most every other way.

Fair point.....

Don't confuse my example, I never said a supercharged 5.0 is faster than a Demon. I said a supercharged 5.0 is faster than an NA 5.0, and since you can have Ford do all the work and maintain your warranty, why are we not quoting those numbers as what a 5.0 runs in the 1/4?

Like I said, its hyperbole, but I'm pointing out that the earlier comment that the Demons running without the crate are running "handicapped" is a bit silly.

It certainly is the same, the price of the crate is just included in the price of the Demon, the $1 is a formality. You certainly can buy a "factory" supercharged 5.0 with a Ford Racing tune and a Ford warranty, so is it fair for me to say that is the end all be all of 5.0 1/4 times and anything without that supercharger should be ignored because its being handicapped?

You seem to be under the impression that the Demon is only the Demon when the crate is equipped, and is in a "detuned" version when not using the crate items. Sorry, but I think just about everyone sees it the other way around.

I was hoping someone would raise the whole "demon =/= stock" issue. It has been over 8 minutes since this has been debated ad nauseum so it has been a while.

OP,

Maybe you can ask the GT500 out to dinner and suck him off for free.

How many more retarded threads like this do we need?

We get it. You’re a shameless Ford leg humper. Now pull up your pants and stop showing everyone all 3 inches.

It is the gt500 section, why not head over to a different section if you don’t want to see gt500 threads? Also, why are penis’ on your mind? It’s a discussion about cars bro. You sound like yer ready to rip off a shirt and body slam a windshield or something.

Thanks, I put some honest effort in. I write my own speeches on Thursdays. The rest of the time, the zionists feed me lines.

Judging by the trap speed between what the two have run, that’s gonna be a no from me dawg.

Pump gas drag radials I’ve seen 133 from the demon and 132.96 from the gt500 so far.

Also, serious question. What can the gt500 “2 step” or whatever it is rev to and what can the demons trans brake rev to?

3200rpm for the gt500 and iirc 3500 for the demon. Demon has 1.46 60’s in it on drag radials. The gt500 May eventually see a 1.685-1.70 60ft on michelin mp4’s. I think the cftp tires have a 1.65 in them.

And Dodge stated that very clearly from the get-go, and only Demon buyers could purchase the items for a damn dollar. They would have included that with the car if they didn't fear getting thrown in jail over it.

For an OEM to have the balls to skirt all the ultra complicated laws and regulations, and even offer something like that in the 21st century, facing potentially endless liability is freaking amazing.
Would that because driving multiple miles on a drag radials front skinny tire is not safe?
I’ve seen a number of demons on the street not one if them is in this configuration.

Second point of yours is all true.
