Both cars trap about the same. The demon will be quicker due to the better 60’.
Just so you know, the skinnies and required tools to swap tires fit in the Demon’s trunk...too include the factory air compressor. The demon will have its hands full on the highway though.

How much of that 5 secs is tires?
I'm actually not sure because the compounds Ford is using are wildy different. the CFTP is using the stickiest version of the cup 2 they've ever made. I have heard no info about their 4S variant. That said, the general rule is tires are everything but that slightly changes with aero in the mix when talking pro drivers wringing out all they can. Could be 50% tire and 50% areo/stiffness or 90% tire or 90% areo depending how radical this 4S is. won't know unless Randy goes into depth about it. And they actually swapped cup2's on a supra test so maybe they'll try these bespoke cup2's on the handling package and tell us 100%

I have seen 4 second differences between 120TW and 100TW tires, 5 seconds between a standard NT01 and slicks, 5 seconds between radial and bias slicks etc... so its not easy answer. If im forced to guess Id say mostly tire, for average track day drivers its definitely all tire.

I know aero will be some and rotating mass will be a bit too. Faster deceleration and acceleration can equal bit on a long track. I’d guess tires will be 2 to 3 seconds. I may be way off.

Iirc the cftp is using like a 180tw compound.

The carbon fiber wheel makes so much of a difference. I want to see how a base car run stock, then on mpsc2’s stock wheel, the. Gt500 cf wheel and tire then all that compared to a handling pack and cftp

The TW is whatever the manufacturer wants to stamp on the tire. The cup 2 in reality comes in a wide variety of TW and if this car is doing what they say its doing its more along the lines of 60TW. That's just physics

This is the new camaro vs. mustang decade long comparison from the 90s. It's crazy that camaro's aren't even mentioned anymore in the great performance debate.

On the contrary.... Mustang is just now being relevant again.

The Z1LE's lap time is still very relevant, it will fall between the CFTP and the handling pack car. The alpha chassis is still incredible.

Demon crate doesn't even come with tires for the front wheels so I guess when I buy those and mount them on the wheels its still stock right?

The Demon is a 9 sec car...get over it. The GT500 is still a badass car and should be a beast on a road course.
