Being in Europe the last 3 years, new years is a huge deal. Even little ass rinky-dink towns, everybody buys everything that could possibly blow up and all go to random parks around the town to blow stuff up. Simply amazing. Now I'm here in the states, in a metro area that has almost 3 million people, and the city has no fireworks. The county has no fireworks. And setting them off is illegal. WTF??? It is winter: nothing will burn. F off with Americans being snowflakes. So disappointed. /rant.

We have fireworks starting at dusk and we get gun fire all night. Of course, that differs little from any night of the year around here.

Sounds like you should go back to Europe and hang out with all those badasses over there.

No fireworks up here. Not a one. I actually can't ever remember New Year's Eve fireworks ever. San Antonio, though, was loaded. Wow!

Happy New Year everyone!

You need to find rednecks, cowgirls, and booze around a campfire. We had no problems finding things to blow up.
