Looks like the gt500 really pulls out when the zle shifts.

Do you guys think the zle would win at a higher roll or if auto? I’d imagine with faster shifts and that kind of power, the ZLE should have done better

Hard to tell from the video. 500 did a “roll by” on the start. ZL1 was carrying an extra passenger. What exactly is “full bolt on” on the ZL1? Usually that description is used by guys that are clueless.

That DCT in the 500 vs a manual in the 1LE is a helluva advantage, specially when the guy driving the stick is not badass at it. Not to mention the additional aero on the 1LE model.

Hard to see the outcome on a 3 second run with heavy traffic, but no doubt the GT500 has balls, though.

What I really want to see is the race with Demon.

I put no stock in street races, too many variables. I tend to not like 1/4 racing because I feel that really only measures traction, but at the end of the day it's more consistent (in that it's just whoever gets to the other end first / faster depending on how you want to look at it), so you just have to take it for what it is.

I think anyone whose followed that channel and those guys knows this

I’d rather see something like this than a stock zle vs gt500. Gt500 runs 10@130+ easy enough, zle runs 11.5@125+ easy enough.

E85 fbo zle is about 650-700whp. Some people say you should do a cam swap and you have to beef up the fuel system. Stock only good to maybe e60 or so. Let’s see if we can find the zle’s info on social media. I’d bet shy or at 650whp.

Gt500 tune only is 700-725whp.

3800 vs 4100 lbs

Big difference is m6 vs dct imo.

It's hard to tell, and it's fairly inconsistent, but it looks like LT, tune, ethanol, intake, throttle body and pulley will put a Z solidly in the mid 130s.

One of the first videos of a stock 808 demon getting trashed, was racing a FBO ZL1 10-speed. That car was running high 9s on DRs and trapping 140.

I wonder what the mods were on the ZL1. Probably a smaller upper, bigger lower as well as supporting FBO mods?
The GT500 is a beast and a half though. Can't wait to see them hit the drag strips after being modded.
Lund's GT500 is already close to 1,000 crank horsepower with just a smaller pulley, new injectors, a catless exhaust, E85, and of course, the tune. (I don't count the tune as that's a given/part of the mods.)
