The base and the CFTP have difference suspensions pieces
1) springs: cftp are stiffer and lower. Does anyone know the part numbers for purchasing?
2) wheels: cftp as stated cf wheels 20x11f/20x11.5r & very light. After market wheels a few lbs more can be purchased much lighter than the base models stock wheels
3) wing: cftp has GT4 wing which adds additional downforce. Anderson composite, APR have wings question is will they add the same downforce?
4) shock computer programming: cftp has different programming for the magneRide, I’m not sure if this can be done?
5) anything else I missed?

Basically can a base model car be made to perform like or close to a CFTP car by purchasing cftp parts or after market parts. If yes how would you go about it? And are the part available now to do so?

if it’s anything like the 350R, ford will price the OEM parts basically out of reach for most sane people...i mean the plastic R splitter is over a grand, 4k wheels, no telling on the wing.

i do think the base with a tire and lighter wheels will be right there nipping at the CFTP car

The APR wings do work and IMO actually look better than the oem GT4. Any difference between will be negligible. Then you'll have to play with spring rates and maybe sway bar too. Add a set of track wheels with R7's or the CFTP spec cup 2 and you'll have no issue being as fast in theory. Question is, are YOU that fast?

They are. Or at least the rear bar is...

FP will likely sell these in the future, but there will be aftermarket companies who will offer springs as well.

You can buy some very good, light forged aluminum wheels from quite a few different companies. Not sure if it will be as light as the CF wheels but a large savings.

I bet the APR makes more downforce. It sits higher than the stock GT4 wing.

4) shock computer programming: cftp has different programming for the magneRide, I’m not sure if this can be done?
DSC will likely have suspension tuning soon, buying your own software will allow you to tune it to your own liking.

5) anything else I missed?
Cup 2s and CC plates

Answers above in bold.

Truth be told, you could build a track rat out of a GT350 that runs quite a bit quicker than a stock CFTP, it's a matter of how "prepped" you want the car to be and how much you want to spend.

OP, you can 100% build a better car using the base GT500. My only gripes with the CFTP is the ugly wing, and the carbon wheels.
The wheels cost so much, its almost as if you dont want to use them and have another track set. SINCE you will need a street and track setup, imo the best way to go is the base model.

The money you saved could be spent of Forgeline + hoosier or pirelli scrubs (total cost of that would be around 6500-7500). After that you have about 11k to spend on down force and lighter materials.
lithium battery
tillet racing seat (9-10lbs)
full suspension, my experience with this is any aftermarket setup will be lighter than factory.
I'm sure steeda is working on a lighter k-member too.
drop a good amount of weight with full exhaust too (while adding power).

Agreed, you also get to mod/tinker a bit while making it your own
