I wonder how many guys that have purchased these cars are going to sell them on Ebay or other sites for a profit....

eBay takes 20%.

$150k=$120k.

$107k cftp full dresser means maybe $13k “profit” margin.

Who the **** is stupid enough to risk $150k for the potential but unr wliatic chance of making $13k

If 10 people pull that off, good riddance.

$13k/$150,000 is 8.7%. Much smarter to index the dji or just growth stock funds. Averaging 16-33% doing that these days. Basically very little risk and guaranteed 8%

Where did you came up with this crazy 20% in Ebay fees ? It costs $60-125 to list a car on Ebay then ebay takes 10% from the required deposit after the car sells , deposit is usually $500-1000. It will cost $200-300 to sell GT500 on Ebay

I don't see a lot of secondary sales of these cars. There are already reports of MSRP sales and this is the first year. There just aren't many people out there that will spend $75,000+ on a Shelby. And if not new, Ford financing isn't available. Now, the TP model is a different story but then you are into $100K. I just don't see the new GT500 being as popular in sales as the prior models due to the price tag. Lots of options in that price range.

Let it be $0 in fees, gt500’s still aren’t going to sell well on eBay. List it at $105k, try and make $5k ($4,650 after fees) and see how long it takes.

Pay people $5k and reduce price below msrp, you might see a few sell.

Very few people buy a $100k car on eBay when you can just pop up autotrader or so on and find them without the lack of communication that eBay poses.

If the seller doesn’t list a phone number in the add, you just email back and forth. Who buys a $100k car without talking to the seller?

I think you might be surprised.

The Boomers with retirement money that were too late to get in on the first run will gladly pay +5k for one one ebay if they can get their hands on it next week.

Now is the time when the excitement is fresh.

This time next year? Nah...

I need another personal car like I need a hole in my head, But If was Red I would have already owned it... :) Oh and for the record I don’t Beg. I earn!

More of what I meant was for a car that is pretty much just released for 3K under MSRP if I could afford it I wouldn’t care if it was zinc yellow that’s a good deal imho.

With how fast these cars are going, I don't believe or understand why any dealer would do under MSRP right now. I don't believe it lol. I'd love to see an actual contract that shows it was for 3k under MSRP. If they really did, well then damn, good for them and lucky for the guy who got it. I'm happy I got MSRP but would have loved under lol.
