This past fall I found another Sonic Blue coupe that I had to have. I've always regretted selling the first one I had so when I was in the market for another cobra, I knew it had to be Sonic Blue..

The car is VERY clean. 21k Miles, the last 2 owners haven't put 1k miles on it COMBINED.

I purchased it with the following mods.

2.6 KB, 26 spline RXT, AFCO HE, 60s, BAP, HCM and a terrible BBK CAI.

The car was basically an unmolested canvas. RXT was done a few month before purchase because the TB started chirping.

Plans were to keep the car as is, minus minor mods, to enjoy it before taking it apart and putting my touch on it...… Then the whipple sales happened. So full blown winter mod mode has commenced and I would like to document that here. It all started with a too good to pass up deal on a red gen 3 2.9. (which has been sold in favor of a black gen 4 2.9)

Winter mod list:
2.9 Gen 4 Whipple
Accufab TB
Fore return set up, PTFE, rails, dual 465s (still need to buy injectors)
ARH 1 3/4 3inch collect and matching X pipe.
3 inch fully polished Bassani Catback
Maximum Motorsports K member/arms set up. (still need to buy coilovers)
MM Steering shaft, bumpsteer, swaybar relocation, cc plates
Innovators West damper, metco style.
Metco Inner and outer pulley set ups
Ken Miley Jr Alternator w/ big three upgrade
True forged Tank set up
SOS guage pod with AFR, Aeroforce guage
MGW shifter

Cosmetics:
Powder coating EVERYTHING engine related. (intake, valve covers, ect ect)
Mach 1 Sail panels
Bullit side scoops
Clear corner head lights
LED everything
18x9 and 17x11 Welds (left over from the last car)
10th anni shit boot
JCC hood vents
Lanier Metals Terminator Rad cover.

As you can see I have quite a bit to do and I look forward to keeping track of it here! Pictures to come shortly!

These are pictures of it in in the condition I picked it up in and also when I had a compression check at " The Snake Pit" near Cleveland, Oh(prior to purchase). Really cool shop they have there!

And finally a shot of it tucked away in the garage before anyone was aware of the winter mod frenzy that was about to take place.

Once thing I've noticed right off the bat is.... It is SOOOOOOO nice working on something that hasn't been touched by someone else. All the stock nuts/bolts are there.. Nothing over torqued, or stripped. Everything is basically just like was from the factory besides the blower.. and I love it!!

My last two cobras had too many hands on them and it really showed!

Your doing exactly what I want to do! SB is the Cobra I will get to replace the ones I wish I'd have kept. I'm already acquiring parts but haven't even found the right car yet lol.
