I am looking to pickup a mid size pickup. raptor is too large for the garage space.

‘Trading in my old 2007 Tacoma TRD off road. Looking to purchase a 2020 ZR2 crew cab.

1) any idea on trade value for 07 loaded Tacoma crew cab with 95000 miles. Original owner. Perfect running order but condition is rough (hail dents, cracked windshield, interior tear). Perfect work/beater truck.

2) thoughts on zr2? Wish the Ranger Raptor was an option but not in the US.

You’re going to get raped on the Tacoma given the damage. You’re FAR better off selling it private party as Tacoma’s have a cult like following and people are always looking for beater trucks.

I think the ZR2 version is one of the best looking trucks on the market. Can you get the diesel motor? If so, that would be the way I would go. Also, if you own/owned a Raptor, the ZR2 is kind of the same platform. Albeit nowhere near as nice.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to get the ZR2. Gas not diesel though.

I am going to get a trade in estimate. I am expecting a poor offer. My free time is limited so if I get an offer within 3-4K of private party I will let it go for the hassle factor. If not I will list on Craigslist. I think I could sell private party for around 12k. I see much higher mileage selling for 15k but mine is in a rougher condition.

if the dealer offers me 6-7k I will sell it myself.

Have you thought about the Bison version?

This is primarily for my son. I want a newer truck with better options and safety for him. Money
Or at least till the frame rails snap in half from rust
the frame was completely replaced due to the faulty rust issue back in December. covered under special warranty recall from Toyota 13 years after I bought the truck.

Just got my deal in place. I am please where it ended up. Solid trade in value with sizable discounts. It wasn’t the Redeye out the door for 58K level but still quite good in my mind.

I think you’ll love the ZR2. My buddy just got the Bison edition a few months ago and it has been great. One of those trucks where you don’t have to touch it if you don’t want to. Plenty capable and rides nice on the street. Enjoy it!
