Got my nice expensive Corsa’s in the mail today and they look like this. Lol.
I am trying to have a sense of humor about this as I am sure this is a fluke case.
Shit like this always seems to happen to me though. Hahahahaha

Should there be pipe inside the tips like this?
Not sure I’d even want them for %25 off. I guess i could have the tip welded if the rest was correct, but not sure I’d want to.

They were in a rush to get to TX2K lol
From the photo it looks like the tip is oversize so the pipe is fitting inside it. What's the black crap sealing the tip to the pipe?

that’s a little hokey though. I have never had pipes inside the tip, usually they are flush cut and welded.
The one tip is not fullly welded.

Just let em know and I’m sure they’ll overnight you a new set. I’ve honestly never seen that from any exhaust company.

I gotta wait until they get back from TX2K.
I know they will take care of it. Just an annoyance. Car will be down another week atleast.

Oh Canada!
The pipe inside the tip isn’t a mistake. I’ve seen that on Corsa’s before. Once you built up some carbon in there you probably wouldn’t even see it, but If you want to know if those are any different than others, check the market section for pictures of used ones for sale.

Thanks for the info. I wonder what the logic is on that. I have never seen a tip like that before.

it’s cheaper to make them that way. Once it’s on the car unless you lay on the ground you can’t see the smaller pipe. The stock gt and v6 mufflers are the same way.

Are you going to wait until you get a different set before trying them out?

Actually, I am going to install them today to atleast see if I like them. If I do, I may just ask Lethal/Corsa for a partial refund and just keep them. I guess it is just cosmetic since the pipe inside is taking all the pressure and the tips are just attached further back, but for $800 mufflers, I expected QC to be quite a bit better.

true, just did not expect this with touts of superior build quality

Lots of OEM exhaust is constructed the same way.

true as well. I have never had an aftermarket exhaust do that though.

So I took the car out for a little and yea these are obnoxious. I am not sure I can do it. My ears are ringing, just not sure if it is placebo

Yep that’s how corsa’s are built. Honestly though, once it gets covered in carbon inside you won’t really notice it and once on the car you gotta basically get on ground to see them

I am not sure what that black looking stuff around the tip is. It should be a weld bead but it doesn’t look like it lol

And yea that’s pretty much how mine sounded. My gf at the time said the corsas had to go. I did not argue with her. Lol
