Hi Guys first post. I have a question regarding getting Track Apps to properly work with matching ABS module as well as a new 2014 DPad steering wheel buttons cluster on a 2011 Mustang GT Premium. Was hoping if someone could confirm if they have been able to use Forscan to get the ABS module configured and allow Track Apps to work on a 2011 GT. Or does that have to be done through IDS/VCM only? I already have the 2014 cluster installed and it works just not all the Track Apps options.
Also I cannot seem to get the steering wheel directional buttons to work using the 2014 directional pad with OK button even though I have followed the wiring steps to the T from the first posts here. Is it because I have to program the cluster for the new buttons to work. If so what steps do I need to do exactly and can it be done in Forscan?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated !!

Well I got the steering wheel buttons to work. The wiring steps in the initial post are correct. Always make sure your connections to the switch connector C2998 are good or else it won't work :)

Track apps will only works once both the PATS and the abs module are programmed. with either one of them not done your track apps wont work.

I dont know if the abs can be done with forscan. I used a vcm to do mine.

Where or who can send me some pins to wire the message center button? I know the OP said we could buy pre-made harness?

(Never mind I sourced some)

Hi Guys,
I am changing the 2014 gauge cluster into a 2011 5.0 I am in europe car I bougth in Canada and my problem is that my guys here in europe are not able to sync the ABS MODULE with the car so we can’t start the car after installing the cluster we made every steps like it is writen here but without succeeding to strat the veicle
my guys are saying that the car can be blocked by Ford and we have no the wright program to sync it
My mechanic is going to the States next month for some stuff would be really great if somebody from you guys can help me to fix my problem if it is possible. Maybe to get some programing module with what we can sync the cluster.
Here in europe we have dificultys to sync American cars so need to travel to Germany to the American Ford workshop and that is quite far from me.
So please if someone can check up

You need to program PATS and you'll be able to start it.

I’m starting this project in my 2011 is it still all the same as on page 1? Also the vcm2 I found is v116 will that still do the job?

I'll try on the 2010 GT500 without Track Apps & 2013 ABS Module.

It will need to reprogram PCM to 2014 firmware or not?

How I get Black Box? The website ZeroAviation LLC is not available to option buy Black Box.

2011-14 use the same engine mgmt software (copperhead).

2011/12 came setup to utilize the available sensors that the 2010 did not have so other ways to get the data was needed.

I think you could still have a functional digital dash but without the some of the features (AFR, Track apps, etc).

I wouldn't reprogram the ECM to 2014. You'll end up with a mismatch error code (ECM doesn't match ABS module) and you'll need a tune to over write the 5.8 tune that is in the ECM.
Tuners get a little frightened when you tell them what you are looking for.

It's not difficult but it is somewhat unknown territory for them.

Been lurking on this thread and re-reading it now for some time.

Two main things that I'm confused on. 1, the abs module swap hasn't been covered too well. Is it just the electronic module that needs replacing without the plumbing for the brake lines or does it include the hard brake lines? 2, does anyone have an updated part number for it? The first post by BlueeyedSnake claims it is ER33-2C405-AA, but that part number does not exist on any ford parts website or diagram.

Thanks in advance. Look forward to getting the 2014 gt500 cluster into my 2012 gt500.
