Very nice, I've always liked them. Just an FYI, the belt should be on top of the pulley, just right of the crank pulley.

Ahh, good catch, thank you!

I hadn’t seen one of these in person... I had no idea it all rotated!

Looking at it closer, that belt is probably put on for ease of cranking. It looks be off in a few places.

my aluminator model has the belt routed correctly and turns just fine.

These are super cool, Im glad I found my aluminator version a few years back, I just couldnt stomach to spend what these go for now.

Also, a basketball display case houses these pretty well. I think I did leave the base out to make it fit but still better than trying to dust it

Here is one with the belt properly routed. Wonder why yours wasn't correct. Dang Chinese! LOL.

It is very amazingly detailed model engine. That's definitely something you really needed for your garage. Congrats Goose!

Nice find. These are great model engines. I had two of the 03/04 Cobra engine models and one of the Aluminator engine models in the past. They are all gone unfortunately.

I have a Franklin Mint model of the old Corvette 283. Has a cutout that shows a couple cylinders functioning when you spin the pulleys.
Always wanted to find one of these ones too.

I moved the belt to the other side of the pulley... 1 second fix! (Master mechanic) :D

Belt still doesn't look right to me. It's got maybe 50% (or less) contact with main drive pulley. Is that the way the setup is on your real engine???? Seems like it would be inclined to slip...........

The one I originally had, which Frank Moriarty used (along with a bunch of my other pictures) for V.2 of IF,LF...now owned by a member on this forum. Neat, but they just take up too much space!
