Pretty close, cars are probably lightly modded but I didn’t do any digging to find out.

Gt500 kept jumping. Nice runs by the zr1. The very beginning of the video they say the zr1 is bone stock.

they both run like they're stock and I would expect this result...ZR1 driver looks very young...would like either one.

Very impressed the GT500 weighing 4100lbs was keeping pace with a 3600lb ZR1.

Why keep running the same race? C7 obviously had just a bit more. Looked like they could've dug it out. Would've been interesting to see one or two of those.

Both sweet, pretty close. Thought the ZR1 would have widened the gap on the top end more. But I guess the vette shape doesnt help with massive aero attached.

I thought the same. Hard to believe the GT500 is bone stock. Maybe that huge wing is just holding it back on the big end. It’s kinda noticeable on the video. ZR1 has a decent pull in the beginning. Then it seems the GT500 stops the pull midway, then at the very top the ZR1 starts to pull ever so slightly again. Good races.

Anyone else notice the hood on the Mustang began lifting as speed increased? I wonder if this is due to the rain cover being in place?

It's really noticeable between the first 30-40 seconds of the video.

I saw that too and was thinking that must be why they put hood pins on it.

I noticed the hood lifting a bit, too. Makes me wonder at what point in development did Ford decide to add the hood pins. I know it's to keep the hood down, but why does the GT-500 need them but the GT-350 and GT don't? Just thinking out loud.

I think it comes down to whp/wtq vs drag coefficient.

If it was a cftp set to 500lbs of downforce, it would have been a different outcome.

A non Cftp or handling pack (equipped aero) will do best from rolls all stock.

A cftp wheel/tire on a non aero car would be the missile. That would shit and git.

Both stock but the ZR1 carrying an extra passenger. That is easily a 1+ car or so disadvantage on that roll.

500 got smoked!
