The ZR1 couldn't pull away much more because that is the full ZTK package with 950lbs of downforce. Not to mention the ZR1 had a passenger in the car whereas the GT500 did not. Non ZTK car would have gapped him more up top. I like the GT500.....it's a beast no doubt.

100%. You are a knowledgeable man.

Let's get some modded action happening:

Since these runs I believe Iconic has turned up the wick a bit on his 500. I look forward to more vids with his new setup.

Skip to 13mins for the runs.

Yes have seen this video about a month ago, and that is where the term “getting smoked” would be logical. Stock vs stock race there was no hard pulling away etc but yet hanging around within a car length. Ok you got your praises government motors fan boys congratulations

The fact that a Mustang (granted its a badass GT500) can compete with a top of the line Corvette, is pretty damn impressive IMO.

A stock non aero/handling aero 2020 gt500 on cf wheels/mpsc2’s probably has 10.25@135 in it bone stock at a great location/day. Easy 10.5@133 car.

I want to see a shop run a base non aero car with cftp and stock base wheel tire back to back. Only swap tires and see

Agreed, i am just saying this because, the Mustangs competition is suppose to be the pony cars Camaro, Challengers, etc.

Corvette Grand Sport, ZO6, ZR1s are in a different league as far as I am concerned when it comes to comparisons. Never the less bad ass cars!

GT500 had no fuel left in it. C'mon son. The youtuber even says it in that video. I pulled my ZR1 numbers straight from GM media. So either GM is grossly lying or they quoted dry weight and didn't mention it. We all know the real reason your posting though. I don't understand your fascination with the whole GT500 trolling thing. You get warned over and over to stop doing it and you continue. Like doing it a couple times to be funny I get but the continuous trolling of every single GT500 thread makes me think you're more obsessed with the car than the owners.

Found a article from motor trend that said 3660 for 8 speed ZR1 (dude who weighed the ZR1 had 20lbs he said in equipment in the car) and a media release from Ford that says 4171lbs for the non track pack GT500. That 4080lbs for the GT500 was almost empty. So 16gal tank and 6lbs a gallon for gas. That's 96lbs give or take a few lbs. 4080+96=4176lbs
Now kindly **** off, troll.

You post article links, he posts actual pictures of weights, yet he’s called a troll.

Lmao! You’re a sharp one son!
