Jesus ****ing Christ! I broke it down and somebody STILL doesn't get it. Lol You need to learn to read. He posted a misrepresented photo of the GT500's weight (empty tank) and then posted a photo of a full weight C7 ZR1 M7 with 20lbs extra of equipment. So the car is approximately 3680lbs. So the GT500 has a almost empty tank when it's weighed. 4080lbs. You fill it up. 16 gallons. 16 gals times the weight of a gallon of gas which is about 6lbs. 16x6 is 96lbs. So the total is 4176lbs. So the difference is approximately 500lbs. Got it Potato?
Mine too! I'm just old and cringe to this day paying over $50K for a Car. Just bought my wife a new Jeep GC Summit with the Hemi and it was almost as much as my 13 GT500.
Wish my income would increased as much as these Cars have over the last 10 years.

^^^^then the raping on the 500 from the ZR1 would be even worse. The bigger wing doesn't have as much of a difference in aero drag between 100-180mph as people think compared to the low wing car. The low wing car will have that slight edge and the big difference is getting close to 200+ and beyond.
Remember, Chevy has the low wing car's top speed @ 212mph, the high wing car is said to be about 10 mph less. The car with the the low wing can actually hit 214+ mph and Chevy put a limiter in @ 215 only because of the speed rating of the tires. They claim the car can actually go faster (the low wing version).

MO, Iconic now should concentrate on:
dropping some weight out of the car (especially in the front part of the car)
getting another 100-150 horses to the wheels and hope the DCT lives
Are they still working on sorting out the DCT and making it able to handle more torque and tune shifting? I'm not familiar with this area on the car.
Keep in mind, what works on the Shelby works on the ZR1 also it also could drop some weight out of the car and there's still more hp available out of the LT5 for it to be ahead and stay ahead. All it takes is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
